Background: Contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) is a routine technique for detecting intraplaque neovascularization (IPN). However, the invasiveness and complexity of CEUS severely limit its clinical application. This article aims to investigate the application value of AngioPLUS (AP) technique in assessing IPN formation in patients with atheromatous (AS) carotid artery plaque.

Methods: Patients diagnosed with carotid artery atherosclerosis combined plaque formation were recruited and their demographic characteristics including serum fasting blood glucose (FBG), triglyceride (TG), and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) were collected. AP was used to scoring intraplaque microvascular flow (IMVF), measuring the thickness and length of the plaque and determining the number of IPN of the plaque.

Results: IMVF score evaluated by AP was positively correlated with plaque length, thickness, IPN number, serum TG, LDL and FBG levels in patients with carotid atherosclerosis with plaque. The evaluation results of CEUS score and IMVF classification detected by AP of plaques were consistent in patients with carotid atherosclerosis.

Conclusion: IMVF scoring by AP is a promising approach to assess IPN and plaque status in patients with atheromatous carotid artery plaque.

Introduction: The core objective of this study was to precisely locate metastatic lymph nodes, identify potential areas in nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients that may not require radiotherapy, and propose a hypothesis for reduced target volume radiotherapy on the basis of these findings. Ultimately, we reassessed the differences in dosimetry of organs at risk (OARs) between reduced target volume (reduced CTV2) radiotherapy and standard radiotherapy.

Methods And Materials: A total of 209 patients participated in the study.

Purpose: Pituitary adenomas, despite their histologically benign nature, can severely impact patients' quality of life due to hormone hypersecretion. Invasion of the medial wall of the cavernous sinus (MWCS) by these tumors complicates surgical outcomes, lowering biochemical remission rates and increasing recurrence. This study aims to share our institutional experience with the selective resection of the MWCS in endoscopic pituitary surgery.

Background: Arterial diseases like coronary artery disease, carotid stenosis, peripheral artery disease, and abdominal aortic aneurysm have high morbidity and mortality, making them key research areas. Their multifactorial nature complicates patient treatment and prevention. Biomarkers offer insights into the biochemical and molecular processes, while social factors also significantly impact patients' health and quality of life.

Atherosclerosis and aortic aneurysms are prevalent cardiovascular diseases in the elderly, characterized by chronic inflammation and oxidative stress. This study explores the role of CircXYLT1 in regulating oxidative stress and vascular remodeling in age-related vascular diseases. RNA sequencing revealed a significant upregulation of CircXYLT1 in the vascular tissues of aged mice, highlighting its potential role in age-related vascular diseases.

Non-invasive estimation of pressure differences using 2D synthetic aperture ultrasound imaging offers a precise, low-cost, and risk-free diagnostic tool. Unlike invasive techniques, this preserves natural blood flow and avoids the limitations of devices that occupy lumen space. This paper evaluates a previously published estimator, modified to incorporate Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) echo-cancellation, using data from ten healthy volunteers and one patient.
