: Sinus lifting, a procedure to augment bone in the maxilla, may cause complications such as sinusitis due to impaired drainage. This study aimed to assess how sinus lifting impacts airflow in the sinus cavity, which is essential for patients undergoing dental implants. Using computational fluid dynamics (CFD), this research analyzed airflow changes after sinus floor elevation, offering insights into the aerodynamic consequences of the procedure.

Background: We aimed to measure the effect of a 2-day structured paediatric simulation-based training (SBT) on basic and advanced airway management during simulated paediatric resuscitations.
Methods: Standardised paediatric high-fidelity SBT was conducted in 12 of the 15 children's hospitals in Hesse, Germany. Before and after the SBT the study participants took part in two study scenarios (PRE and POST scenario), which were recorded using an audio-video system.

The quality of the visual information transmitted from a scene is crucial for effective medical supervision in prehospital settings. This study investigated the influence of wearable camera mount locations on visibility during simulated out-of-hospital cardiopulmonary resuscitation. A prospective, observational, non-randomized simulation study was conducted to replicate a cardiac arrest scenario adhering to an advanced life support (ALS) protocol.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate whether distractions during simulated neonatal resuscitation impact mask leakage and visual gaze patterns during positive pressure ventilation (PPV) of a newborn manikin.
Study Design: In this observational, simulation-based study, medical students and paediatric residents managed a neonate requiring resuscitation alongside a standardised team and executed PPV on a leak-free manikin. The scenario incorporated distractions such as chest compressions, preparation and insertion of an umbilical vein catheter, administering fluids and interpreting venous blood gas.

Emergency airway management is a crucial procedure performed to secure the airway and ensure effective ventilation during respiratory distress or airway obstruction. In the context of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), this process is complicated by factors such as anatomical challenges, environmental conditions, and the urgency of the situation. Recent advancements in airway management devices, including videolaryngoscopes and supraglottic devices (SGDs), have proven beneficial in managing these challenges.
