Objective: The psychiatric disorders among healthy carriers of hepatitis B (HBsAg), who have no severe physical disability or any medical treatment, have clinical importance. We aimed to research the comorbid psychiatric disorders and alexithymia and to identify whether alexithymia and accompanying somatic symptoms predict the presence of psychiatric diagnoses or not among HBsAg carriers.
Methods Eighty-nine: healthy carriers of Hepatitis B patients and nınety-three healthy individuals were included to study.

Background And Aims: The prevalence of metabolic dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), formerly known as nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), has become a significant public health concern with an increased atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease risk. This study investigates the impact of NAFLD-related single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) on carotid atherosclerosis development in a Japanese population without diabetes, dyslipidemia, and hypertension.
Methods: The prospective observational study, part of the Kyushu and Okinawa Population Study (KOPS), included 945 participants (median age 55 [47, 63]) without carotid atherosclerosis, increased alcohol intake, diabetes, dyslipidemia, hypertension, or chronic hepatitis at baseline.

Beta-thalassemia major (β-TM) is a genetic disorder, prevalent especially in the Mediterranean region, Southeast Asia, and the Indian subcontinent. With improvements in management over the years, β-TM has transitioned from a fatal childhood disease to a chronic condition. However, in Pakistan, there is still a lack of a comprehensive national policy and strategic plan, which has resulted in a growing number of β-TM patients, placing a substantial burden on individuals and the national healthcare system.

This retrospective study was designed to investigate the association between ICP and pregnancy outcomes and associated risk factors. Logistic regression analysis was used to verify the correlation between ICP and pregnancy outcome and the associated risk factors with the risk of ICP.

To evaluate the long-term efficacy and anamnestic response of Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell-derived hepatitis B vaccine (CHO-HepB) after 18-20 years, a cross-sectional survey was conducted in seven communities in Zhengding County at the end of 2017. The birth cohort 1997-1999 vaccinated primarily with three doses of CHO-HepB were enrolled in the survey. The HBV serological markers were quantified using the Chemiluminescence method.
