Managing infections caused by multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacilli is a major public health concern, particularly in hospitals where surfaces can act as reservoirs for resistant microorganisms. Identifying these bacteria in hospital environments is crucial for improving healthcare safety. This study aimed to analyse environmental samples from a veterinary hospital to identify prevalent microorganisms and detect antimicrobial resistance patterns.

Background: Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a heterogeneous hematological malignancy caused by disorders in stem cell differentiation and excessive proliferation resulting in clonal expansion of dysfunctional cells called myeloid blasts. The combination of chemotherapeutic agents with natural product-based molecules is promising in the treatment of AML. In this study, we aim to investigate the anti-cancer effect of Rapamycin and Niacin combination on THP-1 and NB4 AML cell lines.

Microbial communities thrive in virtually every habitat on Earth and are essential to the function of diverse ecosystems. Most microbial habitats are not spatially continuous and well-mixed, but rather composed, at the microscale, of many isolated or semi-isolated local patches of different sizes, resulting in partitioning of microbial populations into discrete local populations. The impact of this spatial fragmentation on population dynamics is not well-understood.

Liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC) is a malignancy characterized by a high rate of recurrence, metastasis, and poor prognosis. Cytochrome b561 (CYB561) has been previously reported to be associated with tumor progression, but it has not been revealed in LIHC. The aim of this study was to investigate the prognostic value and potential function of CYB561 in LICH.

Background And Aims: Seed dispersal impacts plant fitness by shaping the habitat and distribution of offspring, influencing population dynamics and spatial genetic diversity. Whether the evolution of dispersal strategies varies across herbaceous life forms (annual, perennial, clonal) is inconclusive. This study examines how seed dispersal strategies vary between annual and perennial populations of Mimulus guttatus (syn.
