Fiber-based strain sensors, as wearable integrated devices, have shown substantial promise in health monitoring. However, current sensors suffer from limited tunability in sensing performance, constraining their adaptability to diverse human motions. Drawing inspiration from the structure of the spiranthes sinensis, this study introduces a unique textile wrapping technique to coil flexible silver (Ag) yarn around the surface of multifilament elastic polyurethane (PU), thereby constructing a helical structure fiber-based strain sensor.

This study analyzed targeted sequencing data from 6530 tissue samples from patients with metastatic Chinese colorectal cancer (CRC) to identify low mutation frequency and subgroup-specific driver genes, using three algorithms for overall CRC as well as across different clinicopathological subgroups. We analyzed 425 cancer-related genes, identifying 101 potential driver genes, including 36 novel to CRC. Notably, some genes demonstrated subgroup specificity; for instance, ERBB4 was found as a male-specific driver gene and mutations of ERBB4 only influenced the prognosis of male patients with CRC.

Despite rapid progress in UAV-based infrared vehicle detection, achieving reliable target recognition remains challenging due to dynamic viewpoint variations and platform instability. The inherent limitations of infrared imaging, particularly low contrast ratios and thermal crossover effects, significantly compromise detection accuracy. Moreover, the computational constraints of edge computing platforms pose a fundamental challenge in balancing real-time processing requirements with detection performance.

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory respiratory disease that affects millions globally and poses a serious public health challenge. Current therapeutic strategies, including corticosteroids, are constrained by variable patient responses and adverse effects. In this study, a polyphenolic extract derived from the Tibetan medicinal plant Trimen (SRT) was employed and shown to improve experimentally (ovalbumin + cigarette smoke, OVA + CS) induced asthma in rats.
