Introduction: Controlled Oral Word Association Test (COWAT) is a common neuropsychological assessment tool used to evaluate an individual's semantic and phonemic verbal fluency. Prior to the introduction of a vaccine for SARS-CoV-2, several treatment options were implemented from the onset given the evidence that a "cytokine storm" was present during infection with SARS-CoV-2. However, with the exception of tocilizumab, baricitinib and perhaps anakinra, most studies with anti-cytokine biological agents in patients with severe COVID-19 did not show any significant clinical improvement or decrease in mortality at day 28.

Difficult airway management in oromaxillofacial tumor surgery poses significant challenges for anesthesiologists. We present two case reports of patients with mandibular malignant tumors and maxillary osteosarcoma who underwent surgery under general anesthesia. Preoperative assessment revealed a mass involving the right mandible, completely covering the inside of the mouth and invading the floor of the mouth in the first case, and a mass in the left maxilla extending to the zygomatic arch and orbital floor in the second case.

Objectives: To evaluate the effectiveness of the chimeric Free Anterolateral Thigh (FALT) and vastus lateralis muscle (VLM) flap for reconstructing extensive defects in advanced oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), particularly those involving the infratemporal fossa (ITF) and masticator space.
Methods: A retrospective study was conducted at Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital, Bangalore, from January 2023 to June 2024. It included 22 patients with T4a and T4b OSCC who underwent curative ablative surgery, ITF clearance, and reconstruction using the chimeric FALT-VLM flap.

Pancreatic pseudocysts are a complication of both acute and chronic pancreatitis that usually develop four to six weeks from the onset of pancreatitis. Alcoholic pancreatitis is the most important risk factor for developing such cysts, although non-alcoholic cases do also occur. This is the case of a 58-year-old male patient who presented to our emergency department with a two-day history of abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and inability to tolerate oral food and liquids.
