Diffusion data are essential for adequate analysis of the kinetic separation performance of any chromatographic system. Unfortunately, for Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC), very little data is available of the diffusion coefficients in mobile phases typically used in contemporary methods, i.e. with a non-negligible amount of polar modifier such as methanol. In this work, a relative simple method which only requires minor modifications to a standard commercially available SFC instrument is used to determine the diffusion coefficient of an extensive set of pharmaceutical compounds in the range of 10-50 vol% of modifier (methanol) in CO. By using a traditional SFC column, the solute is first separated from the sample solvent plug, before entering a long capillary, where the band broadening can be linked to its diffusion coefficient using the Taylor-Aris equation. By using two UV-detectors, before and after the capillary, the effect of the dispersion in the column can be eliminated and the true volumetric flow rate determined. It was found that in the investigated range of conditions, the change in mobile phase viscosity in a first approximation allows to predict the variation in diffusion coefficient. Chemical structure and more particularly functional groups can however have a significant effect on the diffusion coefficient.

The chemical corrosion of the TC4 radiation rod surface (TRRS) during the ultrasonic casting process has the potential to significantly impair the smooth conduction of ultrasonic waves. However, in the later stages of corrosion, a self-protected structure (TSPS) emerges under the ultrasonic cavitation effect, which serves to impede the chemical corrosion of the TRRS and markedly reduce the rate of mass loss of the radiation rod. This ensures the smooth ultrasonic conduction of the radiation rod during operation.

Background: To develop and validate a clinical-radiomics model for preoperative prediction of lymphovascular invasion (LVI) in rectal cancer.
Methods: This retrospective study included data from 239 patients with pathologically confirmed rectal adenocarcinoma from two centers, all of whom underwent MRI examinations. Cases from the first center (n = 189) were randomly divided into a training set and an internal validation set at a 7:3 ratio, while cases from the second center (n = 50) constituted the external validation set.

Background: Alterations in structural connectivity of brain networks have been linked to complex cognitive functions in people with multiple sclerosis (PwMS). However, a definitive consensus on the optimal diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) markers as indicators of cognitive performance remains incomplete and inconclusive. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to explore the evidence on the correlation between DTI metrics and cognitive functions in PwMS.

Objective: This retrospective study aimed to evaluate the predictive value of the preoperative dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) and diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) findings of mass lesions for predicting sentinel lymph node (SLN) metastasis in early breast cancer.
Methods: A total of 310 patients with suspicious mass lesions detected in preoperative MRI who subsequently underwent surgery and SLN biopsy (SLNB) between September 2015 and September 2022 were analyzed. The relationship between DCE-MRI and DWI findings and SLNB positivity was analyzed.

Purpose: This case report aims to present a rare case of endometrial carcinosarcoma, a highly malignant tumor with a poor prognosis. The primary objective is to describe this unique case's clinical presentation, multimodal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) features, typical histopathological characteristics and surgical treatment.
Methods: A detailed analysis of the patient's medical history, preoperative imaging evaluation, and treatment approach was conducted.
