In this case study, we describe a 46-year-old male presenting with a palpable, gradually enlarging scrotal mass persisting over three to four years, ultimately diagnosed as paratesticular leiomyoma, who underwent enucleation of the tumor with no signs of recurrence, two years after surgery. This report underscores the significance of accurate diagnosis to avoid unnecessary treatment. We also emphasize the sequential events and findings, supported by relevant literature review, that contributed to establishing the correct diagnosis and guiding appropriate treatment decisions.

Background: Individual surgeons' learning curves are a crucial factor impacting patient outcomes. While many studies investigate procedure-specific learning curves, very few carried out a longitudinal analysis of individual cardiac surgeons over the course of their career. Given the evolving landscape of cardiac surgery with the introduction of transcatheter and robotic procedures, a contemporary evaluation of the cardiac surgical learning curve is justified and a method of personal performance monitoring is proposed in this study.

Aim: To determine the association between institutional experience with extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ECPR) and outcomes after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA).
Methods: We analyzed data from the JAAM-OHCA registry, a nationwide multicenter database containing information on patients who experienced OHCA in Japan between June 2014 and December 2020. The study population consisted of patients with OHCA who were in cardiac arrest on hospital arrival and treated with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).

Background: The medico-surgical management of cardiac tumors when there is a suspicion of malignancy is complex. Moreover, in a critically ill setting, the choice of diagnostic tools seems crucial.
Case Presentation: We present the case of a sixty-four-year-old patient with no prior medical history who was admitted to the intensive care unit with obstructive shock secondary to a right heart mass and pulmonary embolism.
