We investigate methods that improve the estimation of indoor gamma ray dose rates at locations where measurements had not been made. These new predictions use a greater range of modelling techniques and larger variety of explanatory variables than our previous examinations of this subject. Specifically, we now employ three types of machine learning models in addition to the geostatistical, nearest neighbour and other earlier models.

Objectives: To investigate whether baseline depressive symptoms impacted the effectiveness of an exercise intervention among (pre)frail older adults.
Methods: This is a subanalysis of a stepped-wedge cluster randomized trial implementing an exercise intervention, with an application of the integration of the Health Belief Model, Theory of Planned Behavior, and Health Action Process Approach, among 149 community-dwelling (pre)frail older adults. The intervention effectiveness was examined by baseline depressive symptoms (depressive symptoms ( = 40) and non-depressive symptoms ( = 109).
Dizziness and unstable gait in the older adults are associated with vestibular hypofunction, muscle dysfunction and sleep disturbance: impact on prevention of accidental falls.

Background: Dizziness and unstable gait with resultant falls are common symptoms among the older adults. Most of studies have focused on statistical analysis regarding single factor related to dizziness and unstable gait. : Pain is the most common symptom of osteoarthritis (OA), and it leads to functional decline, such as decreased mobility and limitations in activities of daily living, which leads to difficulties in social participation, increased social isolation, and economic burden. Muscle weakness can be a cause of OA symptoms. The purpose was to analyze the effects of resistance training on improving pain, strength, and function in OA and to analyze the effects by intervention duration and joint.
