Retrograde pyelography in 140 transplanted kidneys within 3 days of the operation showed a high frequency (29%) of pyelorenal backflow. Pyelotubular backflow, ordinarily a rare form of backflow, was seen in one-third of the patients whose transplants were removed within 60 days because of rejection, but in only 4% of the patients with surviving grafts. Pyelosinus backflow was found in 61% of the patients with signs of urinary obstruction, but in only 9% of the other patients. No relationship was found between pyelosinus backflow and graft rejection, or between pyelotubular backflow and urinary obstruction. Pyelotubular backflow may be an early radiographic sign of impending and serious rejection.

Unlabelled: To document the histological changes observed in renal units subjected to elevated intrarenal pressures (IRPs) and postulate the possible mechanisms of infectious complications after ureteroscopy.
Materials And Methods: Ex vivo studies were performed on porcine renal models. Each ureter was cannulated with a 10-F dual-lumen ureteric catheter.

Introduction: The authors present the rare yet enigmatic phenomenon of 'pyelo-renal' backflow.
Case Presentation: An eight-month-old boy with multiple congenital anomalies underwent left Anderson-Hynes Pyeloplasty for pelvi-ureteric junction obstruction. Antegrade dye-study done through the nephrostomy revealed obstruction at the level of the pelvi-ureteric junction, yet the contrast was visualized in the pelvis of contralateral kidney and urinary bladder (pyelo-venous backflow) masquerading as vesicoureteric reflux.

Introduction: We present a case of pyelovenous backflow after nephrostomy. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first documented case of renal vein visualization after a nephrostomic placement.
Case Presentation: A 55-year-old Caucasian man presented with symptoms of pyelonephritis with an obstructing ureteral stone.
