Introduction: Antineutrophil cytoplasmic autoantibodies associated vasculitis (AAV) is characterized by antibodies against antigens in cytoplasmic granules of neutrophils and predominantly affects small vessels. AAV after COVID-19 mRNA vaccination has been reported.
Case Presentation: We report a rare case of AAV in a patient who presented with rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis (RPGN) after Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine administration.
Discussion: The temporal causal association between autoimmune manifestations like AAV and COVID-19 vaccines can be explained by hypothesized mechanisms like molecular mimicry, defective neutrophilic apoptosis, polyclonal activation, and systemic proinflammatory cytokine response. These mechanisms are likely to trigger autoimmune responses in genetically susceptible individuals. Still there are many research going on to fill the research gap on the development of ANCA associated with COVID-19 vaccines.
Conclusion: Increasing reports of rare adverse effects like AAV following COVID-19 vaccination warrants the further study and evaluation of immune responses induced by those vaccines. Considering the potential severity of COVID-19 and the rarity of the above-mentioned adverse effects, COVID-19 vaccination should not be withheld.

Background: The cause of acute paediatric hepatitis of unknown aetiology (2022) has not been established despite extensive investigation.
Objective: To summarise the evidence for and against a causal role for human adenovirus (HAdv), adeno-associated virus 2 (AAV-2) and SARS-CoV-2 in outbreaks of paediatric hepatitis in 2022.
Methods: We appraised and summarised relevant evidence for each of the Bradford Hill criteria for causality using quantitative (statistical modelling) and qualitative (narrative coherence) approaches.

It has been reported that severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection can result in long-term neurological symptoms such as cognitive dysfunction, however the specific mechanisms underlying this phenomenon remain unclear. Initially, we confirmed a reduction in the level of synaptic proteins in SH-SY5Y neurons following SARS-CoV-2 infection. SARS-CoV-2 Nsps are crucial for the efficient replication of the virus and play important roles in the interaction between virus and host cell.

Infertility affects approximately one-sixth of couples worldwide, with male factors contributing to half of all cases. However, infections, particularly those of reproductive tract, are increasingly recognized as important contributors to male infertility. Therefore, in this meta-analysis, we focused on the impact of various viral infections on male infertility.
