This study aimed to compare the diagnostic performance of visual assessment of electroencephalography (EEG) using the Grand Total EEG (GTE) score and quantitative EEG (QEEG) using spectral analysis in the context of cognitive impairment. This was a retrospective study of patients with mild cognitive impairment, with (MCI+V) or without (MCI) vascular dysfunction, and patients with dementia including Alzheimer's disease, Lewy Body Dementia and vascular dementia. The results showed that the GTE is a simple scoring system with some potential applications, but limited ability to distinguish between dementia subtypes, while spectral analysis appeared to be a powerful tool, but its clinical development requires the use of artificial intelligence tools.

Background: Repetitive behaviors (RBs) are a well-known symptom of Alzheimer's disease (AD); however, they have been little studied and have not been the subject of any specific literature review.
Objective: To conduct a systematic review of all studies to document RBs in AD.
Methods: An extensive literature search combining five databases and a meta-analysis were conducted to investigate the frequency, nature, and cognitive correlates of RBs in AD.

Objective: We present the preliminary study of the 42-item Semantic Memory Test (SMT-42), a test developed to distinguish semantic variant primary progressive aphasia (svPPA) from the other variants: logopenic (lPPA) and nonfluent/agrammatic (naPPA). The test requires the patient to retrieve the conceptual features of items belonging to different lexical categories.
Methods: In the first study, we administered the French version of the SMT-42 to a population of healthy subjects and to patients with svPPA matched to a subgroup of the healthy subjects.

Spatial cognition is a daily life ability, developed in order to be able to understand and interact with our environment. Even if all the senses are involved in mental representation of space elaboration, the lack of vision makes it more difficult, especially because of the importance of peripheral information in updating the relative positions of surrounding landmarks when one is moving. Spatial audio technology has long been used for studies of human perception, particularly in the area of auditory source localisation.
