miRNAs are non-coding, single-stranded RNAs and are known to regulate the expression of genes during the post-transcription process. Seabuckthorn (Hippophae sp.; Elaeagnaceae) plant grows in different regions in harsh environmental conditions and is tolerant to various abiotic stress prevailing in the Indian Himalayas. Therefore, it is of interest to document the functional assignment of miRNA target genes to abiotic stress in Hippophae salicifolia using available bioinformatics tools. We identified eleven miRNA target genes in the seabuckthorn transcriptome. The expression analysis of these miRNA target genes provides important information about the regulation of stressresponsive defense mechanisms in seabuckthorn. Understanding of the role of these putative miRNAs and their target genes in cold and heat tolerance provides insights to determine the potential targets for the exploitation towards the development of stress-tolerant crop plants.

Objective: To examine the role and diagnostic potential of miR-421 in prostate cancer (PCa).
Methods: Expression data and clinical information for miR-421 were obtained from the TCGA and Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx) databases. Experimental validation was performed at the cellular, blood, and tissue levels to confirm miR-421 expression and its association with clinicopathological features.

Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), the most predominant subtype of esophageal cancer, is notorious for its high lymph node metastatic potential and poor prognosis. Growing evidence has demonstrated crucial function of circRNAs in human malignancies. However, the knowledge of circRNAs in lymph node metastasis of ESCC is still inadequate.

CH can progress to myeloid malignancies including chronic monomyelocytic leukemia (CMML), and is also strongly associated with inflammatory cardiovascular disease and all-cause mortality in humans. DNMT3A and TET2 regulate DNA methylation and demethylation pathways respectively, and loss-of-function mutations in these genes reduce DNA methylation in heterochromatin, allowing de-repression of silenced elements in heterochromatin.

We demonstrate an early mechanistic role of mitochondria in initiating neoplasticity by performing quantitative analyses of structure-function of single mitochondrial components coupled with single cell transcriptomics. We demonstrate that the large Hyperfused-Mitochondrial-Networks (HMNs) of keratinocytes promptly get converted to the heterogenous Small-Mitochondrial-Networks (SMNs) as the stem cell enriching dose of the model carcinogen, TCDD, depolarizes mitochondria.

HIV-1 infection increases cellular RNA m A levels in many cell types, which facilitates HIV-1 replication and infectivity in target cells.
