Based on the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis, this paper examines whether rural broadband adoption affects agricultural carbon reduction efficiency (ACRE), using panel data from 30 Chinese provinces from 2011 to 2019. This paper achieves a measurement of ACRE by taking the carbon sink of agricultural as one of the desired outputs and using a Slacks-Based Measure (SBM) model and the global Malmquist-Luenberger (GML) index. The results show that: (1) Rural broadband adoption has a positive effect on ACRE. The relationship between the income of rural residents and ACRE was an inverted U-shaped, which confirms the EKC hypothesis. (2) Land transfer has a significant promoting effect on the relationship between rural broadband adoption and ACRE. When the land transfer rate is high, the positive effect of broadband adoption is obvious. (3) The positive effect of broadband adoption on ACRE was more obvious when farmers invested more in production equipment, that is to say, it has a significant positive moderating effect. As farmers in many developing countries suffer from increasingly frequent and severe extreme weather events, we believe that the results of this study also have implications for the implementation of agricultural carbon reduction and smart agricultural equipment roll-out in many countries.

This paper presents a modularized reconfigurable functional electromagnetic surface (MRFES) for broadband absorption and polarization conversion by using tightly coupled dipole antennas (TCDA) and back-loaded radio frequency (RF) circuits (BLRFC). A dual-polarized antenna array with tight coupling and wide angular scanning characteristics is designed. By loading different RF circuits on the back side of the antenna array's ground plane, switchable broadband absorption and polarization conversion functions are achieved.

Terahertz (THz) spectroscopy, an advanced label-free sensing method, offers significant potential for biomolecular detection and quantitative analysis in biological samples. Although broadband fingerprint enhancement compensates for limitations in detection capability and sensitivity, the complex optical path design in operation restricts its broader adoption. This paper proposes a multi-degree-of-freedom stretchable metasurface that supports magnetic dipole resonance to enhance the broadband THz fingerprint detection of trace analytes.

YSiO:Ce, YSiO:Dy, and YSiO:Ce and Dy phosphors were successfully synthesized using the oxalate wet chemical method. Phase purity, emission and excitation spectra, FTIR, and the chromaticity coordinate were adopted to represent the performance of the samples. The photoluminescence (PL) spectrum YSiO:Ce and Dy phosphor shows a broadband in violet-blue region with a bandwidth of nearly 75 nm due to combine effect of Ce-Dy ions with another emission peaks of Dy ions peaking at 574 nm.

Objective: The study aimed to compare the efficacy of brainwave entrainment in the treatment of individuals with tinnitus having normal hearing sensitivity. The effect of binaural beats (BB) stimulation in reducing negative emotions and tinnitus handicap post-three months is explored in this longitudinal study.
Method: The study comprised sixty individuals (four groups) with tinnitus having normal hearing.

Highly efficient Ce-activated BaGd(SiO)O (BGSO) cyan-emitting phosphors were designed to simultaneously fulfill the applications of plant growth and a white-light-emitting diode (white-LED). Here, the spectral behaviors of the studied samples are manipulated by arranging Ce to occupy various crystallographic sites (., Ba and Gd) in BGSO host lattices.
