Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is a non-fatal disease prevalent worldwide. However, mixed efficacy has been observed among different therapies for hair regrowth in AGA patients. Thus, a nano-platform with synergistic treatments based on a hybrid extracellular vesicle encapsulating gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) and finasteride (Hybrid/Au@Fi) was constructed through membrane fusion between hair follicle stem cell (HFSC)-derived extracellular vesicles and liposomes.

Background: Non-motor symptoms in myasthenia gravis (MG) are rarely confirmed. Although there are some small cohort studies, a large-systemic survey has not yet been performed.
Methods: We investigated the incidence and clinical characteristics of patients with MG who had taste disorders and alopecia using data of 1710 patients with MG enrolled in the Japan MG Registry 2021.

Alopecia associated with lupus erythematosus is broadly classified into reversible nonscarring alopecia seen in the acute phase, such as worsening of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and cicatricial alopecia seen in chronic cutaneous lupus erythematosus represented by discoid lupus erythematosus (DLE). In DLE-induced alopecia, early therapeutic intervention before developing scarring alopecia is important, but the condition is often resistant to conventional treatment. Anifrolumab (ANI), a novel therapeutic agent for SLE that inhibits Type I interferon activity, has been shown to be effective against acute skin lesions, including alopecia, in patients with SLE.
