Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) is a difficult treatment for treating kidney stones, especially when there are orthopedic or skeletal abnormalities. Here, in a 19-year-old male, we describe a two-step PCNL with a case of caudal regression syndrome (CRS) and a pelvic kidney, with an extremely deformed neurogenic bladder on intermittent catheterization. Our conclusion is that PCNL may be done safely with minimum morbidity in patients with caudal regression syndrome by utilizing adult equipment for heavy stone burdens, allowing full and rapid stone removal.

Hyperphosphorylated tau accumulation is seen in the noradrenergic locus coeruleus from the earliest stages of Alzheimer's disease onwards and has been associated with symptoms of agitation. It is hypothesized that compensatory locus coeruleus-noradrenaline system overactivity and impaired emotion regulation could underlie agitation propensity, but to our knowledge this has not previously been investigated. A better understanding of the neurobiological underpinnings of agitation would help the development of targeted prevention and treatment strategies.

Background: Neurofilament light chain (NfL) is a cytoskeletal protein that supports neuronal structure. Blood NfL levels are reported to be higher in diseases where myelin is damaged. Studies investigating intracortical myelin (ICM) in bipolar disorder (BD) have reported deficits in ICM maturation over age.

Objective: To apply a network medicine-based approach to analyze the phenome of the prenatal fetal MRI and biometric findings in the Chiari II malformation (CM II) to detect specific patterns and co-occurrences.
Method: A single-center retrospective review of fetal MRI scans obtained in fetuses with CM II was performed. Co-occurrence analysis was utilized to generate a phenotypic comorbidity matrix and visualized by Gephi software.

Study Design: A secondary analysis of data from the NORDSTEN-spinal stenosis trial (SST).
Objective: The aim of the present study was to investigate whether the dural sac cross-sectional area (DSCA) on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of adjacent segments decreases after decompressive surgery due to lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) up to 2 years postoperatively, and to investigate possible associations with baseline variables, including preoperative patient and radiological characteristics, and surgical method used.
Summary Of Background Data: Decompressive surgery for LSS is currently the most common spinal surgery procedure; however, there is limited knowledge on changes in the DSCA over time adjacent to a decompressed segment.
