Robust text-dependent speaker verification system using gender aware Siamese-Triplet Deep Neural Network.

Network

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, UP, India.

Speaker verification in text-dependent scenarios is critical for high-security applications but faces challenges such as voice quality variations, linguistic diversity, and gender-related pitch differences, which affect authentication accuracy. This paper introduces a Gender-Aware Siamese-Triplet Network-Deep Neural Network (ST-DNN) architecture to address these challenges. The Gender-Aware Network utilizes Convolutional 2D layers with ReLU activation for initial feature extraction, followed by multi-fusion dense skip connections and batch normalization to integrate features across different depths, enhancing discrimination between male and female speakers.

Lithofacies classification and identification are of great significance in the exploration and evaluation of tight sandstone reservoirs. Existing methods of lithofacies identification in tight sandstone reservoirs face issues such as lengthy manual classification, strong subjectivity of identification, and insufficient sample datasets, which make it challenging to analyze the lithofacies characteristics of these reservoirs during oil and gas exploration. In this paper, the Fuyu oil formation in the Songliao Basin is selected as the target area, and an intelligent method for recognizing the lithophysics reservoirs in tight sandstone based on hybrid multilayer perceptron (MLP) and multivariate time series (MTS-Mixers) is proposed.

Background/objectives: The prevalence of dementia, a complication of uncontrolled type 2 diabetes (T2DM), is rising among older adults. Effective self-management for dementia prevention is essential, but no validated questionnaires currently exist to evaluate these behaviors.

Methods: The Dementia Preventive Individual and Family Self-Management Process Questionnaire (DP-IFSM-PQ) and the Dementia Preventive Self-Management Behavior Questionnaire (DPSMBQ) were developed based on the Individual and Family Self-Management Theory to evaluate dementia prevention self-management behaviors in older adults with T2DM.

Background: Although cervical cancer (CC) is highly preventable through appropriate screening methods like the Papanicolaou (Pap) test, which enables early detection of malignant and precancerous lesions, access to such screening has not been equitable across social groups. Sex workers and people with records of incarceration are among the most under-screened populations in Ontario. Little is known about the acceptability and feasibility of HPV self-sampling (HPV-SS) as an alternative cervical cancer screening method for these groups.

Transgender people have been experiencing significant advancements in their social visibility, although they continue to face frequent discrimination and exclusion. Among the issues encompassing transgender individuals' health care, the right to reproductive and sexual health have gained traction in the study landscape, necessitating an exploration of fertility preservation options for these patients. This report sheds light on the process of cryopreserving gametes and ovarian tissue after total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy for gender reassignment in a transgender man in hormonal masculinization.
