Background: Patient-reported outcomes (PROs) are considered the gold standard for evaluating value-based care in orthopaedics. However, there is little evidence to guide implementation of PROs for surgeon performance evaluation.
Purpose: To develop a risk-adjusted surgeon performance measure using the Knee injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS) for patients undergoing anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR).

Background: In this article, we discuss a new technique of pectoralis major muscle volumization using ultrasound-guided fat grafting, considering a new surgical criterion that allows for larger volumes.
Methods: We present a retrospective observational descriptive study, which included men who underwent body contouring surgery during 2022-2023. As part of the study, measurements were taken before, immediately after, and at 3 months after surgery.

Face masks are strongly believed to be the best precaution to reduce the transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which resulted in an unprecedented surge in the production and use of personal respiratory protective equipment. Unfortunately, this surge led to improper disposal of used masks. This study aimed to assess the occurrence of microplastics (MPs) in used and unused surgical and cloth masks and N95 respirators.

Microplastic pollution in marine environments poses significant environmental risks due to its widespread presence. Traditional micro-imaging measurement of microplastics often rely on post-cruise laboratory analyses. In this study, we explored the feasibility of onboard microplastic measurement using Raman spectroscopy, with a focus on polyethylene (PE).

Purpose: To compare functional deficits associated to surgery with those caused by the growth of the head and neck paragangliomas (HNPGLs).
Methods: 72 patients with HNPGLs were included. Patients were divided in group A (49 patients undergoing surgery) and group B (23 patients following a wait and see approach).
