Aptamers represent a distinct category of short nucleotide sequences or peptide molecules characterized by their ability to bind to specific targets with high precision. These molecules are predominantly synthesized through SELEX (Systematic Evolution of Ligands by Exponential Enrichment) technology. Recent findings indicate that aptamers may have significant applications in regenerative medicine, particularly in the domain of tissue repair.

Transplantation of bone implants is currently recognized as one of the most effective means of treating bone defects. Biobased and biodegradable polyester composites combine the good mechanical and degradable properties of polyester, thereby providing an alternative for bone implant materials. Bone tissue engineering (BTE) accelerates bone defect repair by simulating the bone microenvironment.

Purple tea ( var. ) is a distinct variety of known for its bioactive compounds, including caffeine, catechins, and a unique compound called 1,2-di-Galloyl-4,6-Hexahydroxydiphenoyl-β-D-Glucose, (GHG) found predominantly in purple tea leaves, which shows potential in obesity management. Studies have indicated that these bioactive compounds play a significant role in reducing BMI and body weight among obese patients.

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), recognized for their self-renewal and multi-lineage differentiation capabilities, have garnered considerable wide attention since their discovery in bone marrow. Recent studies have underscored the potential of MSCs in immune regulation, particularly in the context of autoimmune diseases, which arise from immune system imbalances and necessitate long-term treatment. Traditional immunosuppressive drugs, while effective, can lead to drug tolerance and adverse effects, including a heightened risk of infections and malignancies.

Neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease (AD), Parkinson's disease (PD), Huntington's disease (HD), and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) are characterized by the progressive degeneration of neuronal structure and function, leading to severe cognitive and motor impairments. These conditions present significant challenges to healthcare systems, and traditional treatments often fail to account for genetic variability among patients, resulting in inconsistent therapeutic outcomes. Pharmacogenomics aims to tailor medical treatments based on an individual's genetic profile, thereby improving therapeutic efficacy and reducing adverse effects.
