Background: This study by the Cooperative European Paediatric Renal Transplant Initiative (CERTAIN) was designed to determine the incidence, risk factors, current management strategies, and outcomes of antibody-mediated rejection (ABMR) in pediatric kidney transplant recipients (pKTR).
Methods: We performed an international, multicenter, longitudinal cohort study of data reported to the Cooperative European Paediatric Renal Transplant Initiative (CERTAIN) registry. Three hundred thirty-seven pKTR from 21 European centers were analyzed.

The pathogenic variants in the telomerase reverse transcriptase () gene have been identified in adults with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, while their connection to childhood diffuse lung disease has not yet been described. Within this study, we present a case of a five-month-old, previously healthy infant, with early-onset respiratory failure. The clinical suspicion of diffuse lung disease triggered by cytomegalovirus (CMV) pneumonitis was based on clinical and radiological presentation.

Type 1 lissencephaly is a brain malformation characterized by agyria and pachygyria and is known to be caused by congenital infections and genetic variations. Here we present a case of a 4-month-old female with new onset infantile epileptic spasms syndrome (IESS) with initial etiology concerned for congenital cytomegalovirus (cCMV) due to a positive urine CMV PCR and maternal viral syndrome during pregnancy. Her brain MRI was significant for type 1 lissencephaly without other radiographical features of cCMV.
