A family cluster of varicella-zoster virus (VZV) infections was reported. Four family members (two children and their parents) continuously develop varicella after the grandmother's herpes zoster. The unvaccinated 16-month-old infant and his mother developed primary varicella with atypical clinical presentation; however, his 28-year-old father presented with a typical generalized vesicular rash. His vaccinated 4-year-old sister was clinically mild, which could be defined as a breakthrough varicella case. They infected the same virus strain but presented various clinical forms.

Unlabelled: The recrudescence of Varicella Zoster Virus in the head and neck region often manifests as Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, characterised by facial nerve palsy, vesicular rash in the distribution of facial nerve and neuralgia. Objectives: This study aimed to use the real-time RT-PCR method to detect the gene expression cytokines IL-10, TNFα, IFN-γ, and TGF-β in the serum of Alzheimer's patients.
Methods: This study was conducted on 100 serum samples of Alzheimer's patients. DNA extraction was performed on the samples with the Cinnaclone kit and PCR techniques were used to detect the presence of Helicobacter pylori, Chlamydia trachomatis, and Varicella zoster virus.
Stroke related to infections represents a less common but significant cause, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. This review examines the pathophysiology of stroke from infections, involving both direct and indirect mechanisms. Bacterial infections such as tuberculous meningitis and infective endocarditis can directly cause strokes through local inflammation, arteritis, and septic embolism.
