This work investigates the structure, optical and electrical conductivity properties of BaTi Co O (0≤ ≤0.1) ceramics prepared by the hydrothermal method. The X-ray diffraction and Raman scattering analysis demonstrates that the prepared samples have a single-phase tetragonal structure with 4 symmetry. The UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectrum confirms the influence of Co concentration on the direct optical band gap of BaTi Co O ceramics. The optical band gap shifts from 3.14 eV to 3.44 eV as the Co concentration increases from 0 to 0.1. The dielectric constant increases with the depletion of frequency according to the Maxwell-Wagner and Koops model. The AC conductivity frequency curve indicates that the conduction mechanism is determined by using the correlated barrier hopping (CBH) model. The Cole-Cole plot of the complex impedance was investigated for the prepared samples. The compounds showed dielectric relaxation of the non-Debye type.

Molecule-electrode interfaces play a pivotal role in defining the electron transport properties of molecular electronic devices. While extensive research has concentrated on optimizing molecule-electrode coupling (MEC) involving electrode materials and molecular anchoring groups, the role of the molecular backbone structure in modulating MEC is equally vital. Additionally, it is known that the incorporation of heteroatoms into the molecular backbone notably influences factors such as energy levels and conductive characteristics.

The functional properties of tetraaryl compounds, M(aryl) (M = transition metal or group 14 element), are dictated not only by their common tetrahedral geometry but also by their central atom. The identity of this atom may serve to modulate the reactivity, electrochemical, magnetic, and optical behavior of the molecular species, or of extended materials built from appropriate tetraaryl building blocks, but this has not yet been systematically evaluated. Toward this goal, here we probe the influence of Os(IV), C, and Si central atoms on the spectroelectrochemical properties of a series of redox-active tetra(ferrocenylaryl) complexes.

Background: The absence of a reliable and valid Bangla instrument for measuring somatic symptom disorder hinders research and clinical activities in Bangladesh. The present study aimed at translating and validating the Somatic Symptom Disorder-B criteria (SSD-12).
Method: A cross-sectional design was used with purposively selected clinical (n = 100) and non-clinical (n = 100) samples.

Accumulating evidence indicates that unpredictable signals in early life represent a unique form of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) associated with disrupted neurodevelopmental trajectories in children and adolescents. The Questionnaire of Unpredictability in Childhood (QUIC) was developed to assess early life unpredictability [1], encompassing social, emotional, and physical unpredictability in a child's environment, and has been validated in three independent cohorts. However, the importance of identifying ACEs in diverse populations, including non-English speaking groups, necessitates translation of the QUIC.

The mechanical properties of jointed rock bodies are important in guiding engineering design and construction. Using the particle flow software PFC2D, we conducted direct shear test simulations on joints with various inclinations and five different roughness levels to examine the models' crack extension penetration paths, damage modes, and strength characteristics. The findings indicate that the direction of the joint influences the pattern of the rock crack and its penetration route.
