Ludwig's angina is a potentially fatal condition characterized by a rapid onset of cellulitis that bilaterally involves the submandibular, sublingual, and submental spaces. This report describes the case of a 29-year-old female who presented to us with Ludwig's angina following a tooth extraction performed by a traditional healer in Southwestern Uganda. The patient stayed home for over a week before she could seek formal treatment, and this delay led to severe infection and necrotizing fasciitis with extensive tissue necrosis.

Lymphedema occurs when the lymphatic system is malformed, leaking or is damaged by infection or cancer treatment. Enlarged extremities due to extensive fluid retention and adipose tissue deposition, recurrent cellulitis, and the requirement for hard-to-wear compression garments lead to impaired limb function and decreased quality of life. This narrative review aims to elucidate classification, diagnostic tools, and conservative management strategies leading the path to patient selection for microsurgical reconstructive procedures or volume reduction procedures.

Purpose: Mandibular wisdom teeth can occasionally cause infections, which can progress to severe deep neck infections (DNIs) including deep neck abscesses or necrotizing soft tissue infections, which are fatal. This study aimed to identify the radiographic characteristics of mandibular wisdom teeth that developed severe DNIs.
Methods: This study included patients who were admitted for the treatment of severe mandibular wisdom tooth infection between July 2012 and June 2024 at a single center.

Background: Subcutaneous panniculitis-like T-cell lymphoma (SPTCL) is a rare form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma that primarily affects subcutaneous tissues. Its occurrence in the orofacial region is exceptionally uncommon, presenting diagnostic challenges due to symptom overlap with more prevalent orofacial condition.

Ludwig's angina is a potentially life-threatening disease characterized by diffuse bilateral cellulitis with an odontogenic origin. This unique infection is now rare owing to the antibiotic era. This patient presented to the emergency room with trismus, jaw and neck swelling, mild respiratory distress with tachypnea, hyperthermia, and panic.
