In the last decade, the rates of infectious syphilis have increased by 345% in Ontario, Canada. Underserved populations-people who use drugs, un(der)housed individuals and those living in rural and remote areas-face unique social and healthcare challenges that increase their vulnerability to syphilis infections and hinder their access to timely diagnosis and treatment.

This study aims to define the admission trends and cost of CVDE among type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients in Malaysia between 2014 and 2020. Methodology: An ecological study was conducted using hospital admission data taken from the Casemix database in public hospitals in Malaysia.

Health disparities in rheumatic disease are well established and urgently need addressing. Obstacles to precision medicine equity span both the clinical and the research domains, with a focus placed on structural barriers limiting equitable health care access and inclusivity in research. Less articulated factors include the use of inaccurate population descriptors and the existence of research silos in rheumatology research, which creates a knowledge gap that precludes addressing the health disparities and fulfilling the goals of precision medicine to understand the 'full patient'.
