Accelerated life testing is adopted in several fields to obtain adequate failure time data of test units in a much shorter time than testing at normal operating conditions. The lifetime of a product at constant level of stress is assumed to have an exponentiated Lindley distribution. In this paper, besides maximum likelihood method, eight other frequentist methods of estimation, namely, method of least square estimation, method of weighted least square estimation, method of maximum product of spacing estimation, method of minimum spacing absolute distance estimation, method of minimum spacing absolute-log distance estimation, method of Cramér-von-Mises estimation, method of Anderson-Darling estimation and Right-tail Anderson-Darling estimation are considered to estimate the parameters of the exponentiated Lindley distribution under constant stress accelerated life testing. Moreover, shape parameter and the reliability function under usual conditions are estimated based on aforementioned methods of estimation. To evaluate the performance of the proposed methods, a simulation study is carried out. The performances of the estimators have been compared in terms of their mean squared error using small, medium and large sample sizes. As an illustration, the model and the proposed methods are applied to two accelerated life test data sets.

Background: Selective androgen receptor modulators (SARMs) are small-molecule compounds that exert agonist and antagonist effects on androgen receptors in a tissue-specific fashion. Because of their performance-enhancing implications, SARMs are increasingly abused by athletes. To date, SARMs have no Food and Drug Administration approved use, and recent case reports associate the use of SARMs with deleterious effects such as drug-induced liver injury, myocarditis, and tendon rupture.

Plum fruit fresh weight (FW) estimation is crucial for various agricultural practices, including yield prediction, quality control, and market pricing. Traditional methods for estimating fruit weight are often destructive, time-consuming, and labor-intensive. In this study, we addressed the problem of predicting plum FW using artificial intelligence (AI) methods based on fruit dimensions.

Background And Purpose: It remains unclear whether the lymph-node ratio (LNR) is a relevant factor for the risk of recurrence following neoadjuvant chemotherapy (nCT) with docetaxel, cisplatin, and 5-fluorouracil (DCF), which is a new standard of care for locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) in Japan. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical utility of LNR as a risk factor for recurrence.
Materials And Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 75 patients who underwent nCT-DCF followed by curative surgery for resectable ESCC.

Purpose: Historical redlining, a 1930s-era form of residential segregation and proxy of structural racism, has been associated with breast cancer risk, stage, and survival, but research is lacking on how known present-day breast cancer risk factors are related to historical redlining. We aimed to describe the clustering of present-day neighborhood-level breast cancer risk factors with historical redlining and evaluate geographic patterning across the US.
Methods: This ecologic study included US neighborhoods (census tracts) with Home Owners' Loan Corporation (HOLC) grades, defined as having a score in the Historic Redlining Score dataset; 2019 Population Level Analysis and Community EStimates (PLACES) data; and 2014-2016 Environmental Justice Index (EJI) data.

Purpose: Understanding the incidence of rare diseases is important in establishing a proper public health care system and setting target diseases in medical research. Herein, we report the 12-year cumulative incidence of seven rare ocular diseases of the retina in South Korea.
Methods: We analysed clinical records of 1,126,250 South Korean population during 2006~2019.
