Background And Objective: Bladder cancer (BC) represents a significant health care challenge and is frequently detected during evaluations for haematuria in emergency departments (EDs). Background: Anastomotic leak (AL) is a major complication in colorectal surgery, significantly contributing to perioperative morbidity and mortality. Among strategies to prevent AL, Indocyanine Green Fluorescence Angiography (ICG-FA) has emerged as a promising method for assessing bowel perfusion intraoperatively. This systematic review evaluates the impact of ICG-FA on AL rates and other postoperative outcomes following colorectal anastomoses.

Introduction: While intensive protocols in onco-haematology have improved survival rates for patients with haematological malignancies, they have also resulted in an increased incidence of infection associated with therapy-induced immunosuppression (including chemotherapy-induced febrile neutropenia; FN). The occurrence of FN, associated with high morbidity and mortality, necessitates broad-spectrum antibiotic therapy, occasioning delayed chemotherapy and resulting in a loss of opportunity for the patient. Considering that without an identified pathogen, a 10% mortality rate can ensue, documentation is essential to the optimisation of antibiotic therapy.

Several nociception monitors, including the Surgical Pleth Index, the Index of Consciousness (IoC) and the Nociception Level, have been introduced for managing intraoperative analgesia. While these technologies show promise in initial applications, the effectiveness of IoC2 in guiding pain management during anaesthesia, particularly in elderly patients who require precise opioid use, remains unclear.

Background: Accurate localisation of symptomatic osteoarthritic (OA) lesions in the midfoot, hindfoot and ankle remains challenging due to their complex anatomy. Conventional radiographs have limitations in complex areas or overlapping structures. SPECT/CT has shown promising results in detecting symptomatic OA lesions, yet its superiority over MRI, the current standard for soft tissue pathology, remains uncertain.
