One of the important aspects of stakeholder engagement in cancer care and system planning is hearing from individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer about the impact of the diagnosis and treatment on their lives. Hearing stories from the perspectives of cancer survivors offers opportunity to gain new insight and understanding about experiences of being diagnosed and treated for cancer. This article presents ten short narratives about survivors' perspectives on body image and cancer. Each story is unique but, taken together, the picture they create is one of facing challenges, discovering personal resilience, and moving forward to engage in living. The stories emphasize the importance of communication and support from healthcare providers and understanding needs for a person-centered cancer care system.

Background: With the advent of FDA approved anti-amyloid therapy and recognition of increased side effects in APOE e4 carriers, APOE testing is now recommended for patients considering anti-amyloid therapies such as lecanemab. Given the therapeutic implications and anticipated volume of eligible patients, the traditional model of in-person, pre- and post-test genetic counseling is not feasible to incorporate in clinical pathways. Introduction: Colonoscopies are routine procedures performed primarily on adults over the age of 50; however, there is little known about the influence of social determinants of health on successful completion of colonoscopies. Inadequate at-home bowel preparation can result in increased procedure duration, decreased cancer detection, and may necessitate a repeated colonoscopy, putting undue stress on the patient. Research suggests neurocognitive disorder is a risk factor for poor bowel preparation in older adults; however, lower education may confound neurocognitive findings, independently contributing to risk of incomplete colonoscopies.
