The Electronic Health Record (EHR) has been a principal component in transforming healthcare from traditional pen-and-paper documentation procedures to highly digitalized and interoperable environments. Implementation of EHR is complicated, and success is dependent on the users accepting and utilizing the system to its potential. The present qualitative multi-center study investigated health professionals perceived system usability, user resistance and productivity five to eight years after implementation of a modern EHR, across three European cites. Data was collected with semi-structured interviews with experienced health professionals that had work experience before and after implementation of the EHR. Overall, the respondents considered their EHR to have good usability, reported a low degree of user resistance, and were ambiguous on how the EHR affected their perceived workload at the present, but retrospectively reported that the road towards the present state of satisfaction was not without hurdles.

The detached leaf assay is a valuable method for studying plant-pathogen interactions, enabling the assessment of pathogenicity, plant resistance, and treatment effects. In this protocol, we outline how to set up a Phytophthora detached leaf assay and use non-expert machine learning tools to increase the reliability and throughput of the image analysis. Utilizing ilastik for pixel classification and Python scripts for segmentation, manual correction, and temporal linking, the pipeline provides objective and quantitative data over time.

This study aimed to determine optimal washing and drying methods for maintaining the functionality of silver-coated conductive knitted fabrics, commonly used in wearable smart products. By investigating changes in the physical, chemical, and electrical properties of these fabrics under various care conditions, we sought to provide recommendations for their proper maintenance. Results showed that mechanical friction during washing, combined with the chemical effect of detergent and the effects of machine drying, led to peeling and oxidation of the silver layer, resulting in changes to the fabric's appearance, color and increased surface resistance.
