A nanoscopic understanding of spin-current dynamics is crucial for controlling the spin transport in materials. However, gaining access to spin-current dynamics at an atomic scale is challenging. Therefore, we developed spin-polarized scanning tunneling luminescence spectroscopy (SP STLS) to visualize the spin relaxation strength depending on spin injection positions. Atomically resolved SP STLS mapping of gallium arsenide demonstrated a stronger spin relaxation in gallium atomic rows. Hence, SP STLS paves the way for visualizing spin current with single-atom precision.

Spin-orbit torques enable energy-efficient manipulation of magnetization by electric current and hold promise for applications ranging from non-volatile memory to neuromorphic computing. Here we report the discovery of a giant spin-orbit torque induced by anomalous Hall current in ferromagnetic conductors. This anomalous Hall torque is self-generated as it acts on the magnetization of the ferromagnet that engenders the torque.

The spin pumping effect in antiferromagnets, which ultimately converts THz waves into a spin current, is the key physical mechanism leading to an essential function which harnesses the THz technology and spintronics. Here, we report thorough experimental investigations of the spin current induced by the antiferromagnetic spin pumping effect in epitaxial α-Fe_{2}O_{3} thin films having two distinct dynamic modes and unambiguously show that both the inter- and intrasublattice spin mixing conductance are equally substantial. Our experimental insight is an important advance for understanding the physics of transduction between the spin current and the staggered magnetization dynamics at THz frequency.

Anomalous transport in low dimensional spin chains is an intriguing topic that can offer key insights into the interplay of integrability and symmetry in many-body dynamics. Recent studies have shown that spin-spin correlations in spin chains, where integrability is either perfectly preserved or broken by symmetry-preserving interactions, fall in the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) universality class. Similarly, energy transport can show ballistic or diffusive-like behavior.

Quantum spin Hall insulators have attracted significant attention in recent years. Understanding the optical properties and spin Hall effect in these materials is crucial for technological advancements. In this study, we present theoretical analyses to explore the optical properties, Berry curvature and spin Hall conductivity of pristine and perturbed PbBiI using the linear combination of atomic orbitals and the Kubo formula.

In ferromagnetic metal (FM)/non-magnetic metal (NM) bilayer structures, dynamical spin injection is primarily attributed to spin pumping at the interface. However, thermal effects, such as the spin (dependent) Seebeck effect (S(d)SE) caused by FMR heating effect, are also expected to contribute, particularly farther from the interface within the FM layer. In this study, the detailed mechanism of dynamical spin injection in CoFeB/Pt bilayer films has been investigated.
