Oncotype DX is the only multigene assay supported by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (USA) with Level 1 evidence for use on node-negative and postmenopausal node-positive patients with estrogen receptor (ER)+/human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-breast cancer to predict the prognosis and to estimate chemotherapy add-on effects. However, the test's high cost prevents its use in most cases. Therefore, we aimed to obtain an alternative recurrence score (RS) prediction formula using the optimal clinicopathological factors.

Due to its endocrine disruptive activity, the plastic additive Bisphenol A (BPA) is classified as substance of very high concern (EU ECHA 2017). A correlation between environmental exposure to BPA and congenital defects has been described in humans and in experimental species including the amphibian Xenopus laevis, where severe branchial defects were associated to lethality. The exposure of X.

Pain due to inflammation can be reduced by targeting the noncanonical nicotinic receptors (NCNR) in cells of the immune system that regulate the synthesis and release of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines. Although NCNR do not generate ion channel currents, the pharmacology of ion-channel forms of the receptors can predict drugs which may be effective regulators of the cholinergic anti-inflammatory system (CAS). Agonists of α7 type receptors have been definitively associated with CAS.

It is important to understand the effects of hoof trimming on hoof and limb conformation to maximize its benefits on the health of the appendicular skeleton of horses, thus promoting improvements in athletic performance and sporting longevity with regard to athletic horses. There is little information on possible changes in the angulation of the thoracic limb joints after hoof trimming and correlations between the angulation of the thoracic limb joints with hoof measurements. To that purpose, nineteen Mangalarga mares received routine hoof trimming.
