Transcriptomics is a powerful approach for functional genomics and systems biology, yet it can also be used for genetic part discovery. Here, we derive constitutive and light-regulated promoters directly from transcriptomics data of the basidiomycete red yeast Xanthophyllomyces dendrorhous CBS 6938 (anamorph Phaffia rhodozyma) and use these promoters with other genetic elements to create a modular synthetic biology parts collection for this organism. Feature selection (FS) is a significant dimensionality reduction technique, which can effectively remove redundant features. Metaheuristic algorithms have been widely employed in FS, and have obtained satisfactory performance, among them, grey wolf optimizer (GWO) has received widespread attention. However, the GWO and its variants suffer from limited adaptability, poor diversity, and low accuracy when faced with high-dimensional data.

Paradox is living phenomenon that provides insights into straight thinking and diverse human experiences important to the discipline of nursing from a nursing philosophical theory-based approach. The author here delves into the metaphorical experience of and the paradoxical concepts that assist the discipline in its thinking about artificial intelligence. Possible ethical implications of utilizing artificial intelligence from a humanbecoming ethos of understanding is utilized.

The development of renewable vinyl-based photopolymer resins offers a promising solution to reducing the environmental impact associated with 3D printed materials. This study introduces a bifunctional lipoate cross-linker containing a dynamic disulfide bond, which is combined with acrylic monomers (-butyl acrylate) and conventional photoinitiators to develop photopolymer resins that are compatible with commercial stereolithography 3D printing. The incorporation of disulfide bonds within the polymer network's backbone imparts the 3D printed objects with self-healing capabilities and complete degradability.

To persist in an ocean changing in temperature, pH and other stressors related to climate change, many marine species will likely need to acclimatize or adapt to avoid extinction. If marine populations possess adequate genetic variation in tolerance to climate change stressors, species might be able to adapt to environmental change. Marine climate change research is moving away from single life stage studies where individuals are directly placed into projected scenarios ('future shock' approach), to focus on the adaptive potential of populations in an ocean that will gradually change over coming decades.
