Black phosphorus nanosheets (BPNSs) were synthesized with liquid exfoliation combined with the ultrasonic method and loaded with Fe by simply mixing. The morphology, structure and electrochemical properties of the synthesized Fe/BPNSs were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and cyclic voltammetry (CV), etc. The load of Fe can improve the electrochemical performance of BPNSs and enhance the sensitivity of the detection. Additionally, Fe/BPNSs display good biocompatibility. In this study, immunosensors based on Fe/BPNSs were constructed to detect alpha-fetoprotein (AFP). The detection is due to the specific binding between the AFP antigen and antibody on the surface of the immunosensors, which can reduce the current response of Fe/BPNSs. The immunosensors have a good linear relationship in the range of 0.005 ng·mL to 50 ng·mL, and the detection limit is 1.2 pg·mL. The results show that surface modification with metal ions is a simple and effective way to improve the electrochemical properties of BPNSs, which will broaden the prospects for the future application of BPNSs in the electrochemical field.

Background And Aim: Recent Mendelian randomization and meta analysis suggest a controversial causality between C3-epimer of 25 hydroxyvitamin D3 (C3-epi-D3) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The clinical evidence regarding the impact of C3-epi-D3 on the progression of T2DM is currently insufficient. This study aims to investigate whether C3-epi-D3 has any effect on metabolic disorders of T2DM patients.

Bovine serum albumin (BSA) is one of the most abundant proteins in serum, and its high-throughput detection is still one of the current challenges. Nitrogen‑phosphorus co-doped carbon dots (CDs) were synthesized by a hydrothermal method. Adenosine monophosphate (AMP) was used as a precursor for the synthesis of CDs, providing the required carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus sources for the CDs.

Agastache rugosa, a perennial herb native to temperate and subtropical regions, shows remarkable adaptive strategies when exposed to varying light and nutrient conditions in tropical environments. Our study reveals new insights into the crosstalk mechanisms involving carbohydrate homeostasis, biomass allocation, and nutrient acquisition in A. rugosa under different environmental conditions.

Acute liver failure (ALF) is a rare and dynamic syndrome occurring as a sequela of severe acute liver injury (ALI). Its mortality ranges from 50% to 75% based on the aetiology, patients age and severity of encephalopathy at admission. With improvement in intensive care techniques, transplant-free survival in ALF has improved over time.
