The aim of this article was to compare the shrinkage and air permeability properties of woolen fabrics and fabrics with regenerated wool woven with different weaves for establishing the suitability of regenerated wool for blankets. Two series of products with yarns of different raw materials were woven. One group of fabrics was woven with regenerated woolen yarn in the weft and woolen yarn in the warp. The other group of fabrics was woven only from 100% woolen yarns. The shrinkage in the directions of the warp and the weft and the air permeability of the fabrics with regenerated wool and 100% woolen fabrics with different weaves were investigated. The shrinkage in the directions of the warp and the weft in the fabrics with regenerated wool in the weft and 100% woolen fabrics depended on the float length in the weave. When the length of the weave increased, the shrinkage also increased. The air permeability value changed depending on the number of intersections and the float length. The fabrics with regenerated wool in the direction of the weft had higher air permeability. The Two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) results showed that the weave influenced the shrinkage in the directions of the weft and warp, but the raw material had no influence on the shrinkage. The weave did not influence the air permeability, in contrast to the raw material. The shrinkage in the directions of the warp and weft and the air permeability did not depend on the interrelationships of the weave group and the raw material of the fabric.

Unidirectional moisture-conducting fabrics were prepared by electrospraying polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) onto three green fabric substrates, namely cotton, hemp, and modal. Experiments were conducted to examine the effects of coating thickness, coating material, and substrate material on the moisture conductivity of the fabrics. The electrospraying technique was effective in forming uniform and strongly adhered PVDF and PVC coatings on the fabric substrates, and the coating thickness and material type had a significant effect on the fabric's moisture conductivity.

The national radon surveys in Montenegro revealed that the highest annual average radon concentrations (C) in ground floors of dwellings and schools were found in a rural region characterized as a typical high-karst area. In this region, spanning approximately 800 km, C values in 9 houses and 16 schools ranged from 219 to 2494 Bq/m, with AM = 977 Bq/m. To investigate the causes of these elevated indoor radon concentrations, the following parameters were measured near the 25 surveyed buildings: soil humidity, electrical conductivity, pH, activity concentrations of Ra, U, U, Th and K, radon concentration in soil gas (c), soil permeability for radon gas (k), and gamma dose rate in the air.

Cemented Sand, Gravel, and Rock (CSGR) dams have traditionally used either Conventional Vibrated Concrete (CVC) or Grout-Enriched Roller Compacted Concrete (GERCC) for protective and seepage control layers in low- to medium-height dams. However, these methods are complex, prone to interference, and uneconomical due to significant differences in the expansion coefficient, elastic modulus, and hydration heat parameters among CSGR, CVC, and GERCC. This complexity complicates quality control during construction, leading to the development of Grout-Enriched Vibrated Cemented Sand, Gravel, and Rock (GECSGR) as an alternative.
