Due to the chemical composition and structure of the target tissue, autologous bone grafting remains the gold standard for orthopedic applications worldwide. However, ongoing advancements in alternative grafting materials show that 3D-printed synthetic biomaterials offer many advantages. For instance, they provide high availability, have low clinical limitations, and can be designed with a chemical composition and structure comparable to the target tissue.

Zaltoprofen (ZAL) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with a short half-life (∼2.8 h) due to extensive first pass metabolism. In this context, 16 different polymeric film forming solutions (PFFS) of ZAL were developed using different grades of Eudragits, Polyvinylpyrrolidones, Kollicoat MAE 100 P and Hydroxypropyl cellulose as film formers, and polyethylene glycol 400 as a plasticizer in equal parts of ethanol and isopropyl alcohol used as solvents.

Objectives: To evaluate the complementary mechanical properties of dental ceramics using edge chipping resistance (Rea) and flexural strength before and after thermomechanical aging.
Material And Methods: Computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing of ceramic materials, including zirconia (ZR), lithium disilicate (LS2), and resin nanoceramics (RNC), were evaluated. Specimens for flexural strength testing were fabricated with dimensions of 3 × 4 × 25 mm, with 30 specimens per group.

Glycyrrhetinic acid (GA) possesses various pharmacological effects, including anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, and anti-viral properties. However, its clinical application is limited by poor solubility and low oral bioavailability. Polymers play a crucial role in pharmaceutical formulations, particularly as matrices in excipients to enhance the solubility, bioavailability, and stability of active pharmaceutical ingredients.

Three distinct n-type semiconductors were derived from a platinum-trialkyl phosphine complex; to lower their LUMO levels, various indene derivatives were incorporated using thiophene (PtTIC ()), thieno[3,2-]thiophene (PtT2IC ()), and 4-cyclopenta[2,1-:3,4-']dithiophene (PtCDTIC ()) as the acetylide donor units. Single-crystal X-ray diffractometry analysis revealed translinear platinum-acetylide complexation in all cases. The strong (═O···S) interactions between the oxygen atoms of the indene acceptor units and the sulfur atoms of the thiophene-derived donor units induced a highly planar orientation among the heterocyclic ligands, featuring π-π interactions between the planes.
