. Electrocardiogram (ECG) is an important diagnostic tool that has been the subject of much research in recent years. Owing to a lack of well-labeled ECG record databases, most of this work has focused on heartbeat arrhythmia detection based on ECG signal quality. A record quality filter was designed to judge ECG signal quality, and a random forest method, a multilayer perceptron, and a residual neural network (RESNET)-based convolutional neural network were implemented to provide baselines for ECG record classification according to three different principles. A new multimodel method was constructed by fusing the random forest and RESNET approaches. Owing to its ability to combine discriminative human-crafted features with RESNET deep features, the proposed new method showed over 88% classification accuracy and yielded the best results in comparison with alternative methods. . A new multimodel fusion method was presented for abnormal cardiovascular detection based on ECG data. The experimental results show that separable convolution and multiscale convolution are vital for ECG record classification and are effective for use with one-dimensional ECG sequences.

Aim: The aim of this study was to compare the effects of dexmedetomidine, midazolam, propofol, and intralipid on lidocaine-induced cardiotoxicity and neurotoxicity.
Methods: Forty-eight male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into six groups (n = 8 per group): control (C), lidocaine (L), lidocaine + dexmedetomidine (LD), lidocaine + midazolam (LM), lidocaine + propofol (LP), and lidocaine + intralipid (LI). Dexmedetomidine (100 µg/kg), midazolam (4 mg/kg), propofol (40 mg/kg), and intralipid (10 mg/kg) were administered intraperitoneally as pretreatment.

Background: Complexity and signal recurrence metrics obtained from body surface potential mapping (BSPM) allow quantifying atrial fibrillation (AF) substrate complexity. This study aims to correlate electrocardiographic imaging (ECGI) detected reentrant patterns with BSPM-calculated signal complexity and recurrence metrics.
Methods: BSPM signals were recorded from 28 AF patients (17 male, 11 women, 62.

Heart rate variability (HRV) analysis during sleep plays a key role for understanding autonomic nervous system function and assessing cardiovascular health. The UNICA Sleep HRV analysis (UNICA-HRV) tool is a novel, open-source MATLAB tool designed to fill the gap in current HRV analysis tools. In particular, the integration of ECG and HRV data with hypnogram information, which illustrates the progression through the different sleep stages, ease the computation of HRV metrics in polysomnographic recordings.

The invention of the string galvanometer by Willem Einthoven in 1901 ushered in a new era of clinical investigation. Previous instruments were capable only of rudimentary measurements that were of limited utility. Advances in physiology and engineering allowed Einthoven to construct a device that was uniquely capable of recording the minute electrical currents of the heart.

Introduction: The coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19) predominantly impacts the pulmonary system; however, it also has harmful consequences for the cardiovascular system through the occurrence of myocardial injury.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective study analysed 119 COVID-19 patients admitted to Al-Sultan Abdullah Hospital (HASA) from March until December 2020. Demographics, medical histories, admission laboratory results, electrocardiogram (ECG), echocardiogram (echo), were captured from the hospitals' health records.
