There is an increased risk of cardiac complications in COVID-19 among patients with pre-existing comorbidities due to their existing pro-inflammatory status. The manifestation of complete heart block has been evidenced as transient and in no need of intervention. This case presents a previously healthy woman who was diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection and complete heart block; she underwent permanent dual-chamber pacemaker implantation after successful treatment and a negative COVID-19 test.

Brain tumours are a leading cause of death and disability, impacting individuals across all ages, genders, and ethnicities. They are primarily diagnosed using MRI but a precise diagnosis is dependent on the molecular biology of the tumour studied on the pathological specimen. Artificial intelligence and machine learning are forging new paths through diagnostic obstacles, offering the intriguing benefits of non-invasive diagnosis, pattern recognition, and outcome prediction from imaging data.

Simulation-based education has been widely implemented in fields such as the aviation industry and the military. Its applications to the field of healthcare education have started to show significant promise globally over the last few decades. Medical education institutions in Pakistan have relied primarily on traditional forms of didactic lectures, apprenticeship models and small-group clinical sessions for clinical skills education in medical schools.

Existing treatments for androgenetic alopecia (AGA) are unsatisfactory, owing to the two major reasons: (1) Oxidative stress and vascularization deficiency in the perifollicular environment provoke the premature senescence of hair follicles, limiting transformation from the telogen to the anagen phase; (2) The amount of drug delivered to the perifollicular region located in the deep dermis is very limited for passive drug delivery systems. Herein, we developed a gas-propelledmicroneedle patch integrated with ferrum-chelated puerarin/quercetin nanoparticles (PQFN) to increase drug accumulation in hair follicles and reshape the perifollicular environment for improved hair-regenerating effects. PQFN can rejuvenate testosterone (Tes)-induced senescence of dermal papilla cells by scavenging ROS, restoring mitochondrial function, regulating signaling pathways related to hair regeneration, and upregulating hair growth-promoting genes.
