Pancreaticojejunostomy (PJ) is a critical step in pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD), often complicated by the risk of postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF). This video report demonstrates a novel robotic PJ technique employing a self-expandable metallic stent. The method involves the use of the Da Vinci Xi robotic system and the WallFlex™ Biliary RX Stent for improved anastomotic support, particularly in high-risk cases defined by soft pancreatic texture and narrow duct diameter (<3 mm).

Follow-Up Analysis Enhances Understanding of Molecular Residual Disease in Localized Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer.

Clin Cancer Res

January 2025

Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital (Guangdong Academy of Medical Sciences), Southern Medical University, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China.

Purpose: The prognostic value of molecular residual disease (MRD) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is well-established, with treatment-guiding results anticipated. Here, we present updated analyses from our previous published cohort study of 261 NSCLC patients undergoing complete resection.

Experimental Design: 261 patients with stage I-III lung cancer who underwent radical surgery were enrolled.

Is presumed clinical stage I endometrial cancer using PET-CT and MRI accurate in predicting surgical staging?

J Gynecol Oncol

January 2025

Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Institute of Women's Life Medical Science, Yonsei University College of Medicine, Seoul, Korea.

Objective: To evaluate upstaging, lymph node (LN) metastasis, and recurrence in patients with presumed stage I endometrial cancer using preoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT).

Methods: Retrospective review of 422 patients with presumed clinical stage I endometrial cancer diagnosed via MRI and PET-CT (July 2014-June 2023). Surgical staging included pelvic lymph nodes (PLNs) and para-aortic lymph nodes (PALNs), classifying patients as low/intermediate- or high-risk groups.
