Non-local metasurface supporting geometric phases at bound states in the continuum (BIC) simultaneously enables sharp spectral resonances and spatial wavefront shaping, thus providing a diversified optical platform for multifunctional devices. However, a static nonlocal metasurface cannot manipulate multiple degrees of freedom (DOFs), making it difficult to achieve multifunctional integration and be applied in different scenarios. Here, we presented and demonstrated phase-change non-local metasurfaces that can realize dynamic manipulation of multiple DOFs including resonant frequency, values, band, and spatial wavefront.

Background: This study aimed to compare and examine the local and non-local effects of a foam rolling (FR) and static stretching (SS) intervention applied to the plantar flexor (PF).
Methods: Fourteen female participants were investigated. Each participant underwent three conditions in a random order at least 48h apart and at the same time of the day: Control (CC), SS, and FR.

The manipulation of low-energy matter properties such as superconductivity, ferromagnetism, and ferroelectricity via cavity quantum electrodynamics engineering has been suggested as a way to enhance these many-body collective phenomena. In this work, we investigate the effective interactions between low-energy matter excitations induced by the off-resonant coupling with cavity electromagnetic modes. We extend a previous work by going beyond the dipole approximation accounting for the full polarization and magnetization densities of matter.

This article is concerned with a thermoelastic response in a non-local micro-stretch completely covered in the endless non-viscous fluid under temperature dependent, the medium is investigated employing the theory of Green-Naghdi (G-N III) and the model of three-phase-lag (3PHL).Basic equations are derived based on these models. The normal mode technique is employed to achieve an analysis solution to the problem.

The present work focuses on a non-local integro-differential model reproducing Cancer-on-chip experiments where tumor cells, treated with chemotherapy drugs, secrete chemical signals stimulating the immune response. The reliability of the model in reproducing the phenomenon of interest is investigated through a global sensitivity analysis, rather than a local one, to have global information about the role of parameters, and by examining potential non-linear effects in greater detail. Focusing on a region in the parameter space, the effect of 13 model parameters on the in silico outcome is investigated by considering 11 different target outputs, properly selected to monitor the spatial distribution and the dynamics of immune cells along the period of observation.
