is a genus of the gymnopoid/marasmioid complex of the family Omphalotaceae. The classification system of has recently undergone large changes through molecular approaches. The new classification system has not been applied for in the Republic of Korea, and general research on this genus was also lacking. In this study, we analyzed the species in the Republic of Korea by assessing all gymnopoid/marasmioid specimens collected nationwide for ten years by combining morphological approaches and multilocus (ITS + nrLSU) phylogenetic analysis. We thus confirmed that 16 species of are present in the Republic of Korea, including two previously unreported species ( and ) and seven new species ( , , , , , , and ). A thorough examination of the suggested that it is difficult to distinguish or identify the species based on morphological characteristics only; a combined molecular approach is needed for accurate identification. The database of the Republic of Korea is updated, and information on the new species is provided. Five new combinations from to are also proposed ( , , , , and ).

Background: Traditionally, dental implants require a healing period of 4 to 9 months for osseointegration, with longer recovery times considered when bone grafting is needed. This retrospective study evaluates the clinical efficacy of demineralized dentin matrix (DDM) combined with recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 (rhBMP-2) during dental implant placement to expedite the osseointegration period for early loading.
Methods: Thirty patients (17 male, 13 female; mean age 55.

Abnormal melanin synthesis within melanocytes can result in pigmentary skin disorders. Although pigmentation alterations associated with inflammation are frequently observed, the precise reason for this clinical observation is still unknown. More specifically, although many cytokines are known to be critical for inflammatory skin processes, it is unclear how they affect epidermal melanocyte function.

Background: Autologous osteochondral transplantation (AOT) is an option to treat large osteochondral lesions of the talus (OLTs), accompanying subchondral cyst, and previous unsuccessful bone marrow stimulation (BMS) procedures. Although there is extensive literature on the outcomes of surgical interventions for medial osteochondral lesions, research focusing on lateral lesions remains limited. This article presents the intermediate-term clinical and radiologic outcomes following AOT for lateral OLTs.

Cancer immunotherapy has revolutionized cancer treatment due to its precise, target-specific approach compared to conventional therapies. However, treating solid tumors remains challenging as these tumors are inherently immunosuppressive, and their tumor microenvironment (TME) often limits therapeutic efficacy. Interestingly, certain bacterial species offer a promising alternative by exhibiting an innate ability to target and proliferate within tumor environments.
