Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the clinical performance (degree of trueness) of a novel scan body "tooth-modified Scan body" (TMSB)& conventional scan body (CSB) in implant-supported full arch screw retained cases.

Methods: Seven edentulous arches (two maxillae, five mandibles) in 6 patients were rehabilitated with monolithic zirconia screw-retained implant prostheses supported by 4 (n = 1) and 5 implants (n = 6) for a total amount of 34 implants. Implant locations were scanned by intra-oral scanner (IOS) using two types of scan bodies, conventional scan bodies (CSB) in group (1) and tooth-modified scan bodies (TMSB) in group (2).

Background: In adults, the conus medullaris( CM) tip usually terminates at the mid aspect of the L1 vertebra. However, variations exist. Beside the location, differences in the CM's shape are believed to be closely related to neurological conditions.

Background: Kyphotic spinal deformity is a complication of ankylosing spondylitis (AS). In rare cases, particularly in obese patients, the deformity might extend to the cervicothoracic spine, resulting in a severe "chin-on-abdomen" deformity. This condition severely impairs quality of life by affecting gaze, swallowing, and causing chronic pain.

Background And Objective: Insulin resistance is a primary feature of type 2 diabetes. This study compared the effects of curcumin and its nanoformulation on insulin resistance, fasting blood sugar, liver function, GLUT4, lipid profile, and oxidative stress in the liver and pancreas in a diabetic model.

Methods: Thirty male Wistar rats were divided into five groups: a control group, a diabetic group, a diabetic group treated with metformin (40 mg/kg), a diabetic group treated with curcumin (100 mg/kg), and a diabetic group treated with curcumin NPs (100 mg/kg).

Background: Kettlebell (KB) swing exercises, whether performed using shoulder height (SHS) or overhead (OHS) swing variations in therapeutic or strength and conditioning settings, are posterior chain dominant exercises that require hip extension contributions when performed correctly.

Purpose/ Hypothesis: The primary purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of swing style (SHS, OHS) and KB mass on hip extension kinematics and kinetics in young adult females. A secondary purpose was to determine the effects of swing style and KB mass on the forces applied to the total body center of mass and KB.
