Time synchronization among smart city nodes is critical for proper functioning and coordinating various smart city systems and applications. It ensures that different devices and systems in the smart city network are synchronized and all the data generated by these devices is consistent and accurate. Synchronization methods in smart cities use multiple timestamp exchanges for time skew correction.

Background: In post-stroke rehabilitation, functional connectivity (FC), motor-related cortical potential (MRCP), and gait activities are common measures related to recovery outcomes. However, the interrelationship between FC, MRCP, gait activities, and bipedal distinguishability have yet to be investigated.
Methods: Ten participants were equipped with EEG devices and inertial measurement units (IMUs) while performing lower limb motor preparation (MP) and motor execution (ME) tasks.

This paper tries to study the problem of finite-time synchronization for delayed semi-Markov reaction-diffusion systems. Based on the spatial and parametric characteristics of the considered systems, a new asynchronous boundary control scheme is proposed to ensure the finite-time synchronization of the drive and response systems. In the asynchronous boundary control scheme, only an actuator should be placed at the spatial boundary, which is more easier to implement and economical than the other non-boundary control strategies.

Response latency is a critical parameter in studying human behavior, representing the time interval between the onset of stimulus and the response. However, different time between devices can introduce errors. Serial port synchronization signal can mitigate this, but limited information is available regarding their accuracy.
