Unlabelled: Patient and public involvement (PPI) in research has the potential to improve research validity and relevance.

Objectives: To explore how PPI has been carried out and how its impacts have been reported in occupational therapy (OT) health research.

Methodology: Scoping review based on a search in four databases for OT research with descriptions of PPI, published between 2010 and 2020.

Results: Across the 17 included studies PPI was reported in all stages of research. Descriptions of how PPI was carried out varied across the studies, and details with respect to the kind of approach used were lacking. Positive impacts on research design, research ethics, public collaborators and researchers were reported, but only anecdotally. Reflections and challenges related to PPI were also addressed.

Implications: In future studies, comprehensiveness and consistency is needed to document the diversity of how PPI is carried out in OT health research.

Proton pump inhibitor use and all-cause mortality in stroke survivors on antiplatelet therapy: An NHANES analysis.

Department of Neurology, Zhanjiang Central Hospital, Guangdong Medical University, Zhanjiang, Guangdong, China. Electronic address:

Introduction: Stroke is a leading cause of death and disability worldwide. Antiplatelet therapy is essential for preventing ischemic stroke recurrence, but it carries a risk of gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding. Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) are often prescribed to mitigate this risk, but their long-term use has been linked to increased all-cause mortality.

Background: PROTECT ( Platform Randomised evaluation of clinical Outcomes using novel TEChnologies to optimise antimicrobial Therapy) has brought together a team of researchers to design a platform trial to rapidly evaluate and adopt into care multiple diagnostic technologies, bringing immediate benefit to patients. Rapid diagnostic tests will be used to identify patients at risk of deterioration from severe infection, before they become critically unwell. The platform will assess their comparative clinical effectiveness and cost-effectiveness relative to current standard of care.

Background: At present, although some studies have offered certain insights into the genetic factors related to unruptured intracranial aneurysms (uIAs), the potential genetic targets associated with uIAs remain largely unknown. Thus, this research adopted Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis to study two genome-wide association studies on uIAs, aiming to determine the reliable genetic susceptibility and potential therapeutic targets for uIAs.

Methods: This study summarizes the data of expression quantitative trait loci (eQTL) as exposure data.

Objective: The direction of this study was to detect and analyze the specific mechanism of anti-apoptosis in mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) cells caused by high expression of BCL2.

Methods: Bioinformatics was completed in Link omics. GO analysis and KEGG analysis were carried out, and the grope tool of Link omics database was used to evaluate PPI information and other core path analysis information.

Environmental pollution has been a significant concern for the last few years. The leather industry significantly contributes to the economy but is one of Bangladesh's most prominent polluting industries. It is also responsible for several severe diseases such as cancer, lung diseases, and heart diseases of leather workers because they use bleaching agents and chemicals, and these have numerous adverse effects on human health.
