Urban public health resilience has become a critical focus in the transition to high-quality development, especially in addressing increasing public health challenges. This study explores the role of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in enhancing urban public health resilience across 284 Chinese cities from 2011 to 2021. Using a comprehensive index based on resistance, recovery, and innovation dimensions, the study quantifies AI technology levels through patent applications and authorizations, further disaggregating these into invention, utility model, and design patents.

Irritability is a disabling condition affecting 19%-80% of autistic children. Neglected tropical diseases are accelerating because of climate change and urbanization to create new clusters of vast urban areas beset by poverty and environmental degradation. These hot and contaminated megacities could enable the rise of parasitic and other tropical infections. A new generation of antiparasitic vaccines will be needed.

Background: To provide recommendations on risk mitigation, diagnosis and treatment of infectious complications associated with the practice of regional anesthesia, acute and chronic pain management.
Methods: Following board approval, in 2020 the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ASRA Pain Medicine) commissioned evidence-based guidelines for best practices for infection control. More than 80 research questions were developed and literature searches undertaken by assigned working groups comprising four to five members.

Clinical diagnosis of anxiety disorders is highly prevalent in autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Available treatments for anxiety offer limited efficacy in the ASD population. Vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) has an anxiolytic effect in rats and, when coupled with fear extinction training, VNS enhances extinction of fear in healthy rats.
