Indium-tin-zinc-oxide (ITZO) as the channel layer grown by co-sputtering of ZnO target and ITO target in the bottom gate thin-film transistors (TFTs) is proposed in this work. The microstructure and optical properties of ITZO thin films at different annealing temperatures were analyzed. The impact of various annealing temperatures on the ITZO TFT performance characteristics was systematically investigated as well. It was found that ITZO TFT with annealing temperature of 300 °C exhibits excellent electrical performance with a high saturation field-effect mobility ( ) of 27.4 cm V s, a low threshold voltage ( ) of -0.64 V, a small subthreshold swing (SS) value of 0.23 V per decade, and the high on-off current ratio ( / ) of 1.8 × 10. In addition, it also shows good output curves including gate control capabilities and good electrode contact as well as extreme atmospheric stability. As shown by photoluminescence (PL) analysis and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis, the beneficial effects of various annealing temperatures on device performance are attributed to the reorganization of the amorphous network and the control of defect chemistry in the films. The correlation between the post-deposition thermal treatment and the characteristics of a transistor was investigated and excellent performance of the transistor was demonstrated.

A full-scale structural search was performed using density functional theory calculations and a universal structural prediction evolutionary algorithm. This produced a lowest energy two-dimensional (2D) CoB structure. The CoB-1 global minimum structure has unusual inverse double sandwich features.

The transformation of graphite into diamond (2-10 nm) at ordinary pressure by monodispersed Ta atoms was recently reported, while the effects of Ta concentration on the transition process remain obscure. Here, by regulating the Ta wire treatment time, as well as the annealing time and temperature, larger diamond grians (5-20 nm) are successfully synthesized, and the transition process of graphite to diamond is revealed to vary with Ta concentration. Specifically, short Ta wire treatments (5-10 min) induce graphite to form a "circle" structure and transforms into diamond directly after annealing.

We investigated the reactivity of a -dichlorovinyl-carbazole precursor in the on-surface synthesis approach. Our findings reveal that, on the Au(111) surface, the thermally-induced dehalogenation reaction led to the formation of cumulene dimers. Contrastingly, the more reactive Cu(111) surface promoted the formation of a polyheterocyclic compound exhibiting extended aromaticity.

The production, conversion and storage of energy based on electrocatalysis, mainly assisted by oxygen evolution reaction (OER), plays a crucial role in alkaline water electrolyzers (AWEs) and fuel cells. Nevertheless, the insufficient availability of highly efficient catalyst materials at a reasonable cost that overcome the sluggish electrochemical kinetics of the OER is one of the significant obstacles. Herein, we report a fast and facile synthesis of vapor phase deposition of dual-phase nickel sulfide (Ni-sulfide) using low-temperature annealing in the presence of HS and demonstrated as an efficient catalyst for OER to address the issues with sluggish electrochemical kinetics.
