Poly(1,3,5-triethynylbenzene) (PTEB), a newly developed conjugated arylacetylene polymer, was utilized for photoelectrochemical (PEC) enzymatic bioanalysis in this work. The porous nanofiber framework of PTEB film which produced an apparent cathodic photocurrent under visible light illumination was fabricated on an indium tin oxide (ITO) electrode copper-surface mediated interface Glaser polycondensation. As the photocurrent density of the metal-free photocathode displayed a characteristic O dependency, the consumption of dissolved oxygen caused by the modified glucose oxidase (GOx) in biocatalysis induced a depressed photoresponse in the presence of glucose. The fabricated PEC transducer exhibited favorable glucose sensing performances in the linear range of 5 μM to 8 mM and with the detection limit of 1.7 μM; it could also be employed in glucose monitoring in human serum. Moreover, the acetylenic carbon-rich polymer possessed the superior features of being cost-effective in preparation and machinable in device development, which sheds light on the exploration of an advanced PEC sensing platform based on conjugated organic polymers for the bioanalysis of valuable analytes.

Expanding the spectral response of photocatalysts to facilitate overall water splitting (OWS) represents an effective approach for improving solar spectrum utilization efficiency. However, the majority of single-phase photocatalysts designed for OWS primarily respond to the ultraviolet region, which accounts for a small proportion of sunlight. Herein, we present a versatile strategy to achieve broad visible-light-responsive OWS photocatalysis dominated by direct ligand-to-cluster charge transfer (LCCT) within metal-organic frameworks (MOFs).

Promoting the rate of the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) is critical for boosting the overall energy efficiency of the flexible zinc-air batteries (FZABs). Inspired by nature, we designed "branch-leaf" like hierarchical porous carbon nanofibers with ultralow loadings of Ir nanoparticles (NPs) derived from covalent-organic framework/metal-organic framework (COF/MOF) core-shell hybrids. The as-obtained Ir/FeZn-hierarchical porous carbon nanofibers (HPCNFs) showcase enhanced ORR performance, and the ultralow Ir loading reduces the cost while maintaining catalytic capacity.

Dyes can seriously harm human health because they linger or break down in the environment and find their way into drinking water through the water cycle. Examples of the most important interactions between MOFs and dyes are provided, and an effort is made to comprehend how surface charge and size compatibility affect the adsorption process. The methods for incorporating functionalized Ce-MOF into electrospun nanofibers made of polyvinyl alcohol and chitosan to create functionalized cerium metal organic framework nanofiber membranes (FCCP nanofiber membranes) are presented in this paper.

Herein, we report a novel ratiometric nanoprobe (CDs@LZIF-8-Eu) that integrates fluorescent carbon dots (CDs) and Eu on LZIF-8 via a one-pot stirring method. Tetracyclines (TCs) can create inner filter effect on CDs while simultaneously generating an antenna effect with Eu. The rapid and efficient adsorption capabilities of LZIF-8 enhance the probability of TCs interacting with the signal tags.

Efficient removal of TcO from radioactive effluents while recovering drinking water remains a challenge. Herein, an excellent ReO (a nonradioactive surrogate of TcO ) scavenger is presented through covalently bonding imidazolium poly(ionic liquids) polymers with an ionic porous aromatic framework (iPAF), namely iPAF-P67, following an adsorption-site density-addition strategy. It shows rapid sorption kinetics, high uptake capacity, and exceptional selectivity toward ReO .
