A novel series of -benzimidazol-2-yl-α-aryl nitrones 3a-j is synthesized simple one-pot condensation/oxidation of 2-aminobenzimidazole, an aromatic aldehyde and -chloro perbenzoic acid (-CPBA) as an effective oxidant using Mn(NO)·6HO as an efficient catalyst at room temperature. All synthesized -benzimidazolyl nitrones were identified using FTIR, NMR and mass spectroscopy. Also, stability energy theory calculations were performed and H NMR computational spectra were generated for the isomeric structures of 3a; the results show that the stability order is oxaziridine (4) followed by the nitrones 3a and 3a . Also, comparing the computational spectroscopy results with the experimental data shows great accordance with nitrone 3a . Among the remarkable points of this protocol, stable N-heterocyclic nitrones were prepared for the first time from raw materials under mild oxidative conditions. Therefore, they can easily be applied as high-potential intermediates for synthesizing valuable heterocycles in mild conditions. Due to benefits such as the use of inexpensive and available catalysts, short reaction times, high yields, facile workup to obtain pure product, and facile separation of the side product (-chlorobenzoic acid), this simple protocol complies greatly with the principles of green chemistry.

We developed a facile one-pot method for fabricating physical gels consisting of ultrahigh molecular weight (UHMW) polymers and highly concentrated lithium salt electrolytes. We previously reported physical gels formed from the entanglement of UHMW polymers by radical polymerisation in aprotic ionic liquids. In this study, we found that the molecular weight of methacrylate polymers formed by radical polymerisation increased with the concentration of lithium salts in the organic solvents.

Phenethylamines and phenylisopropylamines of scientific relevance can be prepared with a NaBH/CuCl system in 10 to 30 minutes via reduction of substituted β-nitrostyrenes. This one-pot procedure allows the quick isolation of substituted β-nitrostyrene scaffolds with 62-83% yield under mild conditions, without the need for special precautions, inert atmosphere, and time-consuming purification techniques.

Divergent synthesis of triazoles was achieved using newly designed platform molecules possessing azide, alkyne, and fluorosulfonyl moieties. Consecutive conjugations by the sulfur(VI) fluoride exchange and following consecutive triazole formations allowed us to prepare a wide variety of bis(triazole)s by virtue of selective transformations. One-pot triple-click assembly of easily accessible modules led to the facile synthesis of middle-molecular-weight triazoles with various functional moieties.

This study presents a facile one-pot synthesis method to fabricate BiFeO-BiFeO-BiO heterojunction photocatalysts with controllable compositions and pure phases. Three different binary heterojunctions (BiFeO/BiFeO, BiFeO/BiO, and BiFeO/BiO) and a ternary BiFeO/BiFeO/BiO heterojunction were formed, all exhibiting significantly enhanced photocatalytic performance for the degradation of methylene blue (MB) and phenol under visible light irradiation, outperforming the individual compositions. Notably, the BiFeO/BiFeO heterojunction achieved the highest degradation efficiency (93.

Conductive hydrogel has drawn great concern in wearable sensors, human-machine interfaces, artificial intelligence (AI), health monitoring, et al. But it still remains challenge to develop hydrogel through facile and sustainable methods. In this work, a conductive, flexible, bendable and self-healing hydrogel (PBCM) composed of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), borax, cellulose microfibers (CMFs) and MXene nanosheets was fabricated by a simple and efficient strategy.
