For the perovskite solar cells with formamidinium lead iodide (FAPbI) as a light harvester, cesium ions (Cs) can be used to stabilize the perovskite crystal structure of FAPbI. However, the incorporation of Cs ions usually reduces the grain size and degrades the crystallization of FAPbI layers, and this is harmful to the photovoltaic performance of solar cells. In this work, we incorporate Cs ions into FAPbI layers using the interfacial doping method, which is different from the mixed solution doping method in previous reports. Elemental analysis indicates that Cs dopants cannot be detected at the outer surfaces of perovskite layers, and the majority of Cs dopants should be localized in the vicinity of TiO/perovskite interfaces, which is remarkably different from the distribution of Cs dopants in the perovskite layers prepared using the mixed solution doping method. It is found that interfacial doping method can avoid the blue shift of the light absorption edge and can improve the crystallization of FAPbI layers. For the optimized conditions, Cs FA PbI solar cells prepared using the interfacial doping method achieve a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 17.1%, which is better than the PCE of Cs FA PbI devices prepared using the mixed solution doping method.

1,4-Dihydroxyanthraquinone (1,4-DHAQ, a fluorophore) doped carbon nanotubes@cellulose (1,4-DHAQ-doped CNTs@CL) nanofibrous membranes have been prepared electrospinning and subsequent deacetylation in this work. They have been successfully applied for highly sensitive detection of Cu in aqueous solution. The surface area per unit mass (S/M) ratio of the nanofibrous membranes was enhanced by incorporating the CNTs into cellulose.

Purpose: We aimed to explore the mechanism by which Boron-doped nano-hydroxyapatite (B-nHAp) facilitates the proliferation and differentiation of osteoblasts through controlled release of B.
Methods: B-nHAp characterization was accomplished by means of X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, and transmission electron microscopy. Human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (hBMSCs) were subjected to flow cytometry, alizarin red S staining, and cell counting kit-8 assay for proliferation and differentiation determination.

Solar-driven interfacial evaporation technology is regarded as a promising strategy for global freshwater shortage owing to its green and sustainable desalination process. Graphene aerogel (GA) is widely utilized in the design of solar-driven steam generation systems due to its excellent photothermal conversion efficiency and broad spectral absorption. Given the significant impact of hydrophilicity and thermal insulation on the performance of evaporators, nitrogen doping in the graphene structure not only effectively enhances its wettability but also allows for moderate tuning of its thermal conductivity, thereby optimizing the overall performance of the evaporator.

Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) is a biomarker for many diseases, and monitoring its activity level is important for disease diagnosis and treatment. In this study, we used the microdroplet technology combined with an laser-induced polymerization method to prepare the Ag nanoparticle (AgNP) doped hydrogel microbeads (HMBs) with adjustable pore sizes that allow small molecules to enter while blocking large molecules. The AgNPs embedded in the hydrogel microspheres can provide SERS activity, improving the SERS signal of small molecules that diffuse to the AgNPs.

Resveratrol (Res), a natural antioxidant widely found in fruits, plays a crucial role in preventing various diseases. However, traditional detection methods usually rely on large amounts of toxic solvents, leading to high costs and potential health risks to researchers. In this work, an economical, green, rapid, and sensitive method for Res detection was developed using banana peel-derived nitrogen-doped carbon dots (BP-N-CDs) as fluorescent sensors.
