Ni-Co-AlO composite coatings were prepared by pulsed electrodeposition and electrophoresis-electrodeposition on aluminum alloy. The content of AlO particles of the Ni-Co-AlO composite coating prepared by electrophoresis-electrodeposition was significantly higher than the composite coating prepared by pulsed electrodeposition. The composite coating prepared by electrophoresis-electrodeposition exhibited a better anti-wear performance than that prepared by pulsed electrodeposition. The morphology, composition and microstructure of the composite coatings were determined by means of X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The hardness and friction properties of the samples were tested on the microhardness tester and the friction and wear loss tester respectively.

Food commodities, including mycotoxins naturally produced from toxigenic fungi (pre- or post-harvest), are particularly vulnerable to contamination. The study intended to use unique bioactive composites loaded with antimicrobial constituents for food packaging. Three composite types are based on carboxymethyl cellulose/shellac (CMC/SH) and loaded with pomegranate extract (POE) with or without jojoba oil (JOE) at various concentrations.

Polyphenols, natural compounds abundant in phenolic structures, have received widespread attention due to their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anticancer properties, making them valuable for biomedical applications. However, the green synthesis of polyphenol-based materials with economical and environmentally friendly strategies is of great significance. In this study, a multifunctional wound dressing was achieved by introducing polyphenol-based materials of copper phosphate-tannic acid with a flower-like structure (Cu-TA NFs), which show the reactive oxygen species scavenging performance.

ZnO/Ag hollow particles were synthesized a one-step spray pyrolysis method for enhanced antibacterial activity and wound healing applications. The hollow structure and uniform distribution of Ag nanoparticles within the ZnO matrix were confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). UV-Vis spectroscopy and Tauc plot analysis revealed a reduction in the bandgap, attributed to the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) of Ag, improving light absorption in the visible range.
