Introduction: Children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental and psychiatric comorbidities, particularly autism spectrum disorder and developmental delays (ASD/DD), present unique challenges in pediatric emergency department (PED) settings. Youths with ASD/DD are prone to sensory overload and frequently exhibit agitation and/or aggression, necessitating specialized interventions. However, PEDs lack standardized protocols for managing behavioral dysregulation in this vulnerable population, often relying on anecdotal treatment approaches that hinder the provision of safe, effective and individualized care.

The global burden of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and severe associated disease is prodigious. RSV-specific vaccines have been launched recently but there is no antiviral medicine commercially available. RSV polymerase (L) protein is one of the promising antiviral targets, along with fusion and nucleocapsid proteins.

The research conducted in this preclinical study assesses QazCovid-live, a live attenuated COVID-19 vaccine created in Kazakhstan, by conducting preclinical evaluations of safety, immunogenicity, and allergenicity in various animal models, including mice, rats, hamsters, and guinea pigs. The vaccine, developed by attenuating SARS-CoV-2 via numerous Vero cell passages, had no significant adverse effects in acute and subacute toxicity assessments, even at elevated dosages. Allergenicity testing indicated the absence of both immediate and delayed hypersensitivity reactions.

This paper presents a robust and efficient method for validating the accuracy of orientation sensors commonly used in practical applications, leveraging measurements from a commercial robotic manipulator as a high-precision reference. The key concept lies in determining the rotational transformations between the robot's base frame and the sensor's reference, as well as between the TCP (Tool Center Point) frame and the sensor frame, without requiring precise alignment. Key advantages of the proposed method include its independence from the exact measurement of rotations between the reference instrumentation and the sensor, systematic testing capabilities, and the ability to produce repeatable excitation patterns under controlled conditions.

The precise localization of epileptic foci with the help of EEG or iEEG signals is still a clinical challenge with current methodology, especially if the foci are not close to individual electrodes. On the research side, dipole reconstruction for focus localization is a topic of recent and current developments. Relatively low numbers of recording electrodes cause ill-posed and ill-conditioned problems in the inversion of lead-field matrices to calculate the focus location.
