Objective: Epilepsy is common among patients with severe motor and intellectual disability (SMID) patients, often taking a prolonged and intractable course. Lacosamide (LCM) is widely used to treat epilepsy in both adults and children. We assess the efficacy and tolerability of LCM among pediatric and young adult epilepsy patients with SMID who suffer from intractable seizures.

Background: Rock climbing offers numerous health benefits, but accessibility and safety concerns limit its therapeutic use, especially for individuals with disabilities. No prior studies have explored the potential benefits of integrating the Treadwall, a rotating climbing wall with improved accessibility and safety, into rehabilitation protocols.
Objective: To evaluate the safety and feasibility of implementing a Treadwall climbing intervention as a novel therapy tool for children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy.

Objective: Monoallelic variants in the transient receptor potential melastatin-related type 3 gene (TRPM3) have been associated with neurodevelopmental manifestations, but knowledge on the clinical manifestations and treatment options is limited. We characterized the clinical spectrum, highlighting particularly the epilepsy phenotype, and the effect of treatments.
Methods: We analyzed retrospectively the phenotypes and genotypes of 43 individuals with TRPM3 variants, acquired from GeneMatcher and collaborations (n = 21), and through a systematic literature search (n = 22).

The purpose of this study (=15) was to begin to understand the treatment gap from the perspective of family caregivers.
Methods: In semi-structured virtual interviews, family caregivers discussed their experiences of working with providers to treat their child's or sibling's self-injury.

Purpose: There is no consensus on whether cognitive measures among attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) subtypes exhibit more similarities or differences, and most of them have been conducted on English-speaking subjects, lacking cross-cultural perspectives. The present study was aimed at investigating the intelligence structures of school-age children with ADHD who speak Chinese, using a multicenter and large sample size approach, offering some references for clinicians.
Patients And Methods: 772 children aged 6 to 12 years with ADHD took part in the cross-sectional study.
